Pot O' Gold

Pot O` Gold is a video slot game from Amaya Gaming that I have played only once. I usually like to play slots that are similar to this one, but I suppose I was out of luck when I played this game.

Pot O` Gold is a 3 reels and only 1 pay line video slot game. This is a classic slot that seems like very cheerful game but it was not generous to me at all. I know from experience that these games pay well, so I started playing with 1 euro bets. I know it is a penny slot but I felt that it was okay to risk a bit. I had more than 20 spins with no wins at all. At that point I decided to lower my bet because I will be done very soon if I continued to play like that. Then, I started to get some line hits but since my bet was so low the wins were low too.

In theory this is a really good game. There are 2 wild symbols the ‘5 times pay’ wild and the ‘leprechaun’ wild. They both substitute for all the other symbols except for the scatters and the other wild and they offer x 5 multiplier. If they both appear on an active pay line at the same time they offer x 25 multiplier and a sure win.

There is also a free spins round here, but in this game they are called bonus spins but you need to use 3 coins for a wager to activate this feature. I did not play the game with 3 coins so I am not surprised that I did not activate this feature but I did not see the wilds either during my session.

Pot O` Gold seems like a nice game but I would not recommend it to you. I know I will not playing it again for sure.

Pot O’ Gold is my favourite Amaya’s 3-reel, 1-payline classic slot (and it’s on the good way to be one of my favourite classic slots regardless the developers). It has great, joyous, green image with Irish theme and with the inevitable leprechaun, shamrock, golden coins elements surrounded by a fabled forest. The symbols here are the already mentioned plus bars, rainbow, ‘5 times pay’ and besides they’re good looking some of them have great functions, too. The whole picture including the reels is charming. Normally, can’t be expected from a traditional slot to offer such kind of little plus so I appreciate how Pot O’ Gold can create an amazing milieu like this.

The best, this is a progressive Jackpot game. To win the top prize you need to use 3 coins for bet and get 3 Leprechauns on the middle line. By the way no difference in payouts using 2 or 3 coins except the chance for Jackpot and Bonus. The slot has lot of features that makes more interesting playing with it. With max. bet if the Rainbow lands on the payline, it triggers the bonus round where you have to choose one of the three cloud and with help of rainbow it shines one after the other on the 15 pots of gold on a field that all have credit rewards and which the rainbow stops on gives you its reward. That rewards can be from 20 up to 1000 coins. Leprechaun and ‘5 times pay’ symbols are both Wilds and substitute other figures and pays 5 times of the original win, but if a Leprechaun and ‘5 times pay’ figures appear, they multiply 25 times the win that the icon on the 3rd position would pay out if 3 of it would have landed on the winning line. The two Wilds also reward you if the third position remains empty when the reels are stopped. The only difference between Wilds (of course besides the Jackpot triggering ability) is while Leprechaun can substitute ‘5 times pay’ icon the opposite situation can’t be happened. They also have the same payout quality with 2000 times per coin.

They’re fantastic features, functions and I find them very profitable and usable, too. (I mean there’s not just theoretical possibility but actually happens).

Lately, I’ve played Pot O’ Gold a lot and every time I did it, loved this slot more and more. My stake usually just €0.75 but with this small bets I had some good sessions. There were occasions when I lost some money (once it was more than just ‘some’) but in most cases I could leave the game with smaller profits.

This slot possesses everything that I’m looking for in a classic slot. Great atmosphere, good graphics, have some fun, chance for huge win but without winning it the game still can be well-rewarded. Sadly, because being a progressive Jackpot slot, it can’t be used for clearing wagering requirements purposes but other than that it’s an almost perfect game for me. I said almost because for my style the reels are spinning too long. Eventually, I can recommend this slot everyone without any hesitation.
