Adelia The Fortune Wielder Slot Foxium

Honestly speaking, I have not played any game from Foxium before, have not even heard of this game provider, so I was driven by curiosity to give a try on their new game 'Adelia'. Upon starting the game, everything was looking as expected, with the usual good graphics quality, contemporary but nothing outstanding. Strangely or oddly enough, the console panel at the bottom looks almost identical to Quickspin's console! Perhaps these two game providers share something in common, or are related in a way, but I really do not know anything on this.

There are two kinds of Wild symbols in the game - a regular Wild and a Multiplier Wild. The regular Wild only appears on reels 2, 4 and 5 in the base game, but also appears on reel 3 during the free spins. The Multiplier Wild only appears on reel 3, as a fully stacked Wild Reel, with a random multiplier of 2x - 5x, and triggers one free Respin, with the Wild Reel locked in position. The respin continues until no new win is achieved. Nothing new in this feature, but can certainly be good with its 5x multiplier.

The Scatter symbol appears only on reels 2 and 4, is stacked 2 and 3 high, and like the regular Wild symbol, this Scatter is also a non-paying symbol. Argh! I simply hate non-paying Wilds and Scatters! Getting 4, 5 or 6 Scatters (note: 3 Scatters do not qualify) award 10, 20 or 30 free spins, and retriggers are possible. The only win-multiplying factor for the free spins is the Multiplier Wild Reel on reel 3 - no Wild Reel means no multiplier! Argh! However, a Coin would randomly appear on reel 5 during the free spins, gets collected in the Chest on the left hand side of the play area, to trigger a special symbol upgrade feature. There are 3 stages of symbol upgrades, starting with the low symbols, progressing up to the high symbols, with 2x up to 5x multipliers attached to the symbols. So these become the multipliers for the free spins, but only when wins with the multipliers are achieved. Not as easy as it sounds!

True to the current trend of low paytables, the win values for all symbols in Adelia are no exception. The highest paying symbol only pays 25x the total bet for getting 5 of them, with the lowest paying only 2.5x, so wins without any multiplier would only be mediocre. With a 5x multiplier, the best win would only be 125x the total bet amount. Not to my liking at all, and big win hunters would also be disappointed.

Well, I have only played Adelia one time so far, have not got any Free Spins game, but I did get a decent 70x total bet win in the base game play, getting 5 Daggers with a 2x multiplier. From this win alone, I can see that the potential of getting a much bigger win is indeed possible with a 5x multiplier and several winning paylines, but how big this win can be, only time can tell, when someone actually gets it. Nonetheless, I doubt if the maximum win could ever exceed 500x the total bet, but Adelia could still turn out to be quite a good game to play.
