Foxin Wins is one of the few games from NextGen that I actually like playing, although I can hardly ever win on any of their games! Whenever I get free spins on this game, I would get a good play on it, getting frequent small wins and even Free Spins games, but when I do play them with my deposits, they always go the other way! What the argh! Hence, none of NextGen games ever became my favourites.

Foxin Wins play with an additional optional feature - a SuperBet feature. What it does is to increase the number of random Wilds appearing on the reels, in both the base and Free Spins games. On the surface, this looks interesting enough, but my few use of this feature only made me lose my credits faster! I know that some players got lucky with it, getting some wins too, but certainly not for me, and perhaps not for many other players too. Personally, I regard this SuperBet feature as nothing more than a gimmick to get players to play with bigger bets than necessary! Nowadays, whenever I see this SuperBet option, I'd give it my infamous one-finger salute and ignore it completely. Hahaha.

Paytable wise, Foxin the Fox is the Wild symbol, paying a decent 2000x the line bet for getting 5 of them. Not a lot though, as compared to the usual 5000x, and it doesn't even double any wins with it, so this sucks! The Pot is the Scatter symbol, paying 100x the total bet for 5 of them, still not a lot but acceptable enough, and 3 or more Pots would trigger 10 free spins with all wins doubled. All other symbols pay from 1000x to 100x the line bet for getting 5 of each kind, but these too are below the average standards. On the whole, the paytable is on the low side, so most payouts would tend to be less than 100x the total bet amount. Not really to my liking.

In the base game, there are 2 randomly activated features that would throw in some extra small wins of up to 10x the total bet amount, if I'm not mistaken. The first feature is the Fox Funds - Foxin would appear on the screen with a pot and take out coins as an extra win. The second feature is the Leprechaun Shake Down - Foxin would chase a Leprechaun across the screen, and if caught, coins would be shaken down from the Leprechaun's pockets as an extra win. Not a lot of coins each time it gives, but it helps nonetheless.

The Free Spins game is a bit of a let down to me, offering only 10 free spins with a 2x multiplier. The usual would be with a 5x multiplier instead. Even though more free spins can be retriggered, this hardly ever happens, but I have gotten them before, no doubt, but with disappointing extra wins from them. Like I said, these free spins should have been with a 5x multiplier instead to get good decent payouts! My best win on the game so far? Would you believe just a miserable 114x my bet amount? That's far from being satisfactory! Argh!

There are a couple of extra features which activate randomly after any spin - a random wild feature, where the games eponomous foxy protagonist will appear from behind a symbol and transform it into a wild, as well as my favourite - the fox will chase a leprechaun across the screen, sometimes frustratingly he won't manage to catch the little devil but when he does he will give it a shake multiple times. I have received around 25x my stake from this several times, which isn't bad but not quite on a par with say, the "Wild Desire" random feature in Immortal Romance which is capable of awarding over 8000x your bet!

There's one other little feature not mentioned, the fox can randomly appear at the bottom of the reels and start rummaging through a pot of gold awarding small wins - unfortunately though this never seems to pay very well with 3x your stake being the average, which kind of makes me wonder why they bothered!

The game does feel a little less polished than some of the top level premium slots I play, but overall it's still well made with decent graphics, though the sound did annoy me quite quickly and I found myself hunting out the mute button. Apart from this though it's a solid enough game, perhaps not one to play all the time though.

Even though before I didn't play much with super bets option, I believe it is worth it because it works on the free spins as well. In my last session I played with the super bet on max level and the fox pups came up very often so the winnings were bigger than I usually get. There are also wilds symbols that look just like fox pups but they don't move and they substitute for all symbols except scatter.

There's really nothing to dislike about this slot.
