AskGamblers have been notified that Bovada casino is operating without a valid licence issued by a regulated authority. As a result we issued an official warning hoping that the operator will manage to solve the issue. Unfortunately, months afterwards, the casino is still operating without a valid licence which basically means zero protection for players in case of a problem with the operator and that is why Bovada is being added to our blacklist.

Complaint details:

I am filing this complaint due to an unresolved account review and lack of communication from Bovada following a withdrawal request.

On January 3, I was contacted by Bovada’s Investigations team and asked to submit verification documents, including a photo ID and a selfie with the ID. I submitted all requested documentation the same day.

On January 5, I received an email stating that they received my documentation and that my account was under review and that I would be contacted once the review was completed. Since then, my account has remained disabled.

As of today Jan 20th, more than three weeks have passed since the documents were submitted. I have sent polite follow-up emails and contacted live chat. Live chat confirmed that the account is still under review but advised that there is no estimated time frame for completion. I have not been informed that any additional documentation is required, nor have I received any explanation for the delay.

The funds in question in total is 24k that were obtained after meeting all wagering requirements, and I complied fully with the verification request. The only mistake I made was not using my real name when signing up because I did not know that I had to use my real name which I explained in my original response to the verification team. A simple mistake that can be corrected with the verification documents that I provided. I am simply seeking confirmation that my review is progressing and resolution of the account review so I can access my account and withdrawal. I do not understand the purpose of this delay or why this is taking more than 3 weeks to resolve.

I am requesting Bovada’s assistance in completing this verification process and providing a clear update on the status of my account.

I am submitting this complaint regarding Bovada disabling my account and placing it under investigation immediately after I won approximately $21,750 on blackjack.
I have been an active Bovada customer for the past 4-6 months and used the platform daily without a single issue. I have never violated Bovada's terms and conditions, nor have I engaged in any prohibited or suspicious activity.
I have consistently deposited and withdrawn funds without any problems since joining.
On the previous week in question, I successfully withdrew $4-5k from my account without issue.
I then continued playing, deposited additional funds, and got free bonus this recently Sunday 1-4-2025 free play for $500 that was available on my account. I fully complied with all bonus wagering and rollover requirements, placed multiple bets, and primarily played blackjack.

While playing through the blackjack, I won approximately $21,750, mostly on the same game. After successfully completing the bonus rollover and attempting to withdraw my winnings, my account was suddenly disabled and placed under investigation.
Bovada later requested identity verification, which I promptly and fully provided. My identity has since been verified by Bovada's verification team. Despite this, my account remains disabled, and my winnings remain inaccessible. No clear explanation has been provided as to why the investigation is still ongoing or what issue, if any, exists with my account.
I fully understand the importance of identity verification and security procedures. However, I did everything requested of me and followed all rules. From my perspective, the only reason my account was disabled is because I won a significant amount of money while playing blackjack .

I am requesting that Bovada:
1. Provide a clear and specific explanation for why my account remains under investigation
2. Re-enable my account immediately
3. Release my rightful winnings without further delay
I am filing this complaint in hopes that AskGamblers can assist in getting Bovada to resolve this matter fairly and promptly, as I believe my account has been unfairly restricted despite full compliance with all rules.

Their casino games are a big joke. The biggest joke is their blackjack. Someone needs to do a investigation on their RNG or casino in fact. They seem to be scamming a ton of people with their invalid unregulated casino license.

Bovada is a fucking scam. Their casino is the biggest joke ever. Youll know when you start playing it. Especially their blackjack RNG is a joke. Dealer has a Face and you hold a 12 or 13 so you hit and bust. More than half the time theyll show 12 to 16. If you decide not to hit theyll be holding a 20. This happens way too often its hilarious. Youll literally know what the dealer has just by the fucking pattern. Scam piece of shit site. Too bad the site owners cant get arrested for frauding their customers. Had to test it out by doing 1 dollar bets and lost 3k in the process. Definitely rigged ass casino.

Excessive fees, misleading casino table bet ranges. I really wish there was an online casino that would give us the Vegas experience from home, but this isn't it.

I have been with bovada for a few years now.
- They hace a great sportsbook
- their selection on games have been getting better

I'm sure what happened to bovada. They used to be great but have seem to go down hill a bit. It's great to see they got their licenses back.

Now all they need to do is work on withdrawal times and setting the slot returns a bit higher. They haven't been paying out on slots for more than a year for me. I can't seem to break more than $100 at any given time which they take right back.

Their keno is horrible too, that's another game that doesn"t pay out..

You guys need to enable instant withdrawals for your bitcoin options at least. Every other casino does now.

Sports betting is alright. Everything else is awful.

The bonus you get is something that gets used last.
They are deceptive and unlike other casinos they use the bonus cash last.
So if you deposited 300 for sports betting you can get 300 for casino as bonus. So if you go to a blackjack table with your 300 bonus and 300 cash, the total cash will show up as 600, but if you lose 200 out of 600 and decide it was not for you, they will keep your 200 and will only allow you to take 100. Furthermore, if you contact them and let them know that you played in the casino to use the casino bonus and didn't want to use the money you wanted to use towards the sports games, they just don't care. If you are depositing money, make sure you have fraud protection from your credit card company.The bonus you get is something that gets used last.

The graphics are wonderful, and the site is easy to navigate.

Have played about $70K (not one bonus ever utilized) between Bovada and their sister casino, Ignition Casino, since October 2017. Started out decent, now you barely hit anything worth cashing out. I may be incorrect, however, I wouldn't be surprised if they're no longer regulated/certified.
There have been multiple overcharges on deposits, and unfortunately, it's no longer interesting, nor fun to play at either sites.

Terrible graphics on games, the Aladdin slot Princess looks like the gypsy woman from a 1960's horror movie. It may be me, bad odds on the machines. The server is very glitchy and kept timing out during play. 4.5% charge on credit card deposits. Others are better and cheaper!

Interface is nice. I enjoyed their sports book and single deck blackjack.

Customer service is polite.

Account security is not good. They don't have two factor authentication or device registration with mobile authentication. Their level of protection is well below information security industry standards, particularly for companies dealing with financial assets.

I will not be doing business with Bovada again as their account security just isn't sufficient given the amount of money they handle.
