Bovada Account Disabled and Verification Pending for Over 10 Days With No Updates
My Bovada account was disabled on May 20, 2026.

Shortly after my account was disabled, I received a verification request from Bovada. As soon as I received the email, I submitted all requested documents, including:

1. Front and back copies of my government issued ID
2. A photo of myself holding my ID next to my face
3. A full page proof of address document dated within the last 60 days

I submitted all of these documents immediately and have fully cooperated with the verification process.

It has now been more than 10 days since I submitted the requested documents, and I have not received any update regarding the status of my verification or my account. I have contacted Bovada for an update, but I have not received any meaningful information about when the review will be completed.

In addition, there is approximately $11,000 currently in my account balance. Because of the significant amount of funds being held while the verification review remains pending, I am increasingly concerned about the lack of communication and the extended delay.

I would also like to clarify that the address on my Bovada account matches the address shown on the internet bill I submitted as proof of address. However, the address on my driver's license is different, as it has not yet been updated. Despite this, I provided all requested documentation immediately and have fully cooperated with the verification process.

I understand that verification reviews may take some time. However, I believe that more than 10 days without any update is unreasonable, especially considering that all requested documents were submitted immediately.

I am requesting that Bovada provide an update on the status of my verification review and, if everything has been successfully verified, restore access to my account as soon as possible.

Hello,

I wrote this formal complaint on 3-15-26 after escalating over $3,000 of confiscated funds taken away from my account respectfully and was told by Bovada's dispute complaint department a response would be had no later than 10 business days, yet here we are roughly 90 days later and to no avail/no response period! This despite several attempts to resolve 5-30-26.

Formal Dispute of Refer-a-Friend Confiscation

To Whom It May Concern,

I am formally disputing the confiscation of over $3,000 from my Bovada account related to an alleged Refer-a-Friend violation. But no specific clause or term has been identified.

My referral is a legitimate, separate individual who does not live with me and has never used the same device, or Wi-Fi network.

Despite requesting clarification, Bovada has not identified the specific clause in the Terms of Service or Refer-a-Friend program that was allegedly violated.

Please provide the following:

The exact section of the Terms & Conditions that was violated

The evidence used to determine this violation


The justification for confiscating both my winnings and my referral deposit

If no specific contractual violation can be identified, I respectfully request that my funds be reinstated immediately.Winnings and my original referral deposit. Or please escalate to your investigations department for formal review. Lastly

If necessary, I will escalate this matter through formal dispute channels and public complaint services if to no avail.

Interface is nice. I enjoyed their sports book and single deck blackjack.

Customer service is polite.

Account security is not good. They don't have two factor authentication or device registration with mobile authentication. Their level of protection is well below information security industry standards, particularly for companies dealing with financial assets.

I will not be doing business with Bovada again as their account security just isn't sufficient given the amount of money they handle.

I didn't give them much money. I don't have anything nice to say.

Pretty much impossible to get money out. All winnings go to locked funds, and when I requested a withdrawal my account was locked. Probably the worst customer service I have ever worked with. Not helpful or respectful. Doing business with them was a mistake.

Good games and nice sport betting system. The only good thing about it is its really organized and you can find where you want to go and what you want to do on the system very easily.

Verification takes forever, it has been well over a week and still no response.. its been way over the 24-48 hour process. Also customer service seems to be helpful but honestly its not that helpful at all since they cannot even solve their problem within the time frame that they give.

It was ok for a while, then it wasn't.

Please DO NOT do business with Bovada. Customer service is TERRIBLE - they are difficult to work with and quite argumentative; even the supervisor, named Shavora, that I ended up speaking with was unpleasant. They may feel the same about me, but I was really trying to be fair and reasonable. Details: I had a bet that was originally settled as "void", when it should have been settled as a "win"; therefore, my winnings were not available for me to bet. Eventually, it was settled as a "win" and funds were added to my account. When I inquired about this and asked for some sort of compensation for my trouble, I suggested $100 but would have accepted less, their response was, basically, sorry we can't do anything for you; we don't believe you and don't believe that the bet was ever settled as void; and we don't care if you continue to be a customer or not. This poor review is not about losing money. I won some and lost some; lost more than I won. But anyone who gambles like this, knows that they are much more likely to lose than to win. At the time this issue occurred, I had deposited, bet and lost over $1,000 (which went to Bovada's income). Yet they were still unwilling to work with me to resolve the matter and keep my business. My issue is with their poor customer service and poor business decision.

I was really surprised to see so many negative reviews here. I have had an excellent experience at Bovada. They pay well and so far I have gotten my bitcoin withdrawals anywhere from same day to next day. Plus their withdrawal limit is $9500 via bitcoin. Customer service via live chat has always been quick and very helpful. They have a great selection of slots and continue to be one of my favorite casinos.

I deposited funds with a credit card and gamble there a few months. I won a few dollars then my account was suspended. They said after 2 months my card requested the funds back. I never received a chargerback to my credit card and they are telling me I have to send in more money to cover the original charge even though I am up money.

Customer service is poor. Their response time to anything is never what you're told. I sent address verification with a response time of 24-48 hours. It's been 5 days now and still nothing from Bovada. When you call CS you get the same old song of 24-48 hours, after it's been far past that mark. Put a lot of money through Bovada but after this I'll be using another book from now on.

I'm not sure what happens with bovada. They were #1 2 years ago in my opinion. I still use their site but for poker and sports betting. The casino seemed to go downhill a bit. I wonder why they didn't renew their licenses. There must be a good reason, bovada still has a lot of customers and they make a lot of money. They don't need to screw people.

Bonuses are ok with usually 3 choices weekly however they all have low cash out limits..so if you deposit $50 with a bonus you can only keep $150 once wager requirements are through.
