Coincidentally the name of this slot was what initially attracted and motivated me to play for the first time this game, when I saw the words "Funny Money" I said myself this is just the slot I need today to have a good time; after playing for a while I thought how ironic it was choosing a slot that was advertised as fun and profitable then to prove to be a boring and tight slot at the same time, fortunately I decided to have patience and continue playing it for a while and finally my decision was rewarded at the time I finally managed to trigger my first round of 10 free spins that was totally elusive so far, further I got the numbers 3, 2 and 2 on these special symbols that granted me a total multiplier of 7 x applicable to all my winnings during free spins round, and although to be frank, during the free spins my hitting average did not seem to have improved a lot, for me it was enough to obtain 2 club scatters in four of my turns and 3 boss scatters in another one to recover more than $ 200 which I was losing right at that time and my net winnings of $ 252 was even enough to me to impose myself and emerge victorious from this long chore, so at least the word "money" included inside the name of this slot could be justified.

So this is Mafia slot theme, so all the symbols seeing in the reels are connected with Cosa Nostra. The Boss is the bonus symbol and it only appears on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reel but also acts as a wild, that way will substitute all the other symbols except from the scatter ones. This is really interesting slot game which I really enjoy playing every time have a chance. The odd thing is, whenever I play this slot for real money I haven't managed to win nothing big, but as for the free roll tournaments I always succeed to get something.

As today when I played this game from the first spin I triggered the free spins feature, but when its given as a tournament I always play with higher bets, so I was betting with 2.50$. Somehow I manged to get on the 3rd place, but winning on 3rd place from those tourneys it only pays 5$ prize, so as always raised my bet to 12.50% and lost it all. Well I really like this game and I do recommend it, even so it doesn't have some spectacular graphics or colors, still nice game to get some decent wins.

Fun money is another nice 25 payline, 5 reel slot coming from NextGen Gaming. This is the second game I found that for a theme has the Mafia. There are a lot of slots around the gambling industry who use this theme so there is nothing original about it. The minimum bet to play it is 0.25 euros.

This slot has a simple design and graphic. The music is Ok nothing too fancy. The symbols are like from some old cartoon look and I can’t say that they have some high level of detail. The symbols have a bit bigger payout than other NextGen slots, with the highest one awarding a win of 8 000 x betline for a 5 of a kind combination. The Boss symbol here is a wild and he lands only on reels 2, 3 and 4. If you manage to hit 3 of them on the central reels you activate the Boss Man bonus. This is basically a pick cash bonus. You have 9 picks of dollars and you have to choose 4 of them. Each awards a prize that is summed up in the end and transferred to your balance. This bonus usually brings wins from 10 -20 x bet. It can be a nice balance booster at needed times. The second bonus that this game has to offer is the free spins bonus. You trigger it when you get at least 3 scattered Club. In this bonus you are awarded with 10 free spins and a random multiplier. Each of the symbols reveals a number which are summed and the total multiplier is provided. Usually the multiplier is 3. I don’t think I have ever gotten a higher multiplier. You can have some nice wins in the free spins bonus because the wilds symbols come often and provide some descent wins.

This is a game I play whenever I have bigger balance. I always play it on a high 1.25 bet. The reason is because I get better wins on a high bet than on the minimum bet. For example in the Boss bonus on a minimum bet I get wins of 10 x bet and on a higher bet wins of 20 x bet. In the free spins bonus the win on a higher bet is usually close to 100 x bet and on minimum about 40 x bet. A bit weird but that’s my luck with this game.

Funny Money is a video slot that has the same type of format as many other games from NextGen Gaming’s repertoire. Even the theme is somewhat similar to that of The Codfather. Funny Money also has a mobster type of theme and the way features can be earned is completely the same as The Codfather.

I gave The Codfather a rather terrible rating, but had much more fun playing this game though. So logically my rating will be a bit better at the end of this review. Funny Money offers 5-reels, 3-rows and 25-paylines. The minimum bet to try out this game with all selected paylines is 25 cents.

It’s possible to play a lower betsize, but then you would have to lower the number of paylines (not recommended). I played this game on 1 euro bets though. Funny Money is decorated with several symbols that you would find in a crime flick.

Stacked bills, safes, plates of spaghetti, cars, booze, mobster (wild), mobster’s wife, officer, newspaper, guns, club’s door (scatter) and many others form the symbols in this game. The best paying symbol is that of the mobster’s wife. Collect 5 of them on a payline and you end up winning 8,000x line bet. (320x betsize)

Of course I didn’t get close, but I still had a good share of winnings during base game. Unfortunately my bankroll doesn’t allow me often to play big. But even with 1 euro bets, things can take a fast turn. It only took me 15 minutes to win approximately 220 euros derived from just base game wins.

Small wins add up eventually as well, as long they keep them coming in a short succession. Funny Money also has two second-level bonus features. Collect 3 wilds on reels 2, 3 and 4 to trigger the Boss Man Feature. Here you have to pick 4 from 9 stacked bills symbols.

Each one reveals a prize. I experienced this feature a couple of times and it always paid around 15-20x bet. In my opinion they could have done much better here. The other feature can be achieved by getting more than 3 scatters.

You then get 10 free spins with a random multiplier which is predetermined if I recall correctly. I think I had a 3X or 4X multiplier during free spins. I only experienced it once, but still managed to win 75x bet.

So my results were quite good on this game even though it almost has the same characteristics as The Codfather. Maybe this game is more generous by design? Who knows! Either way I’m happy with my results on it.

The Boss Man feature gets a bit boring if it never awards more than 20x bet. I would have liked to see it being possible that a monster could be won here.
