Santa paws microgaming video slot was created long time ago, i played this video slot only once at 32red casino, but i spent around 20 minutes so i have some experience to share. This game has 20 paylines, and therefore minimal bet here is 0.20.

Payouts here is a bit low in my opinion, wilds which appears on all reels, and 5 wilds on payline will pay x 200 total bet. 5 scatters here pay x 100 total bet, and triggers 12 free spins with up to 7x multiplier in feature. Probably this is a reason for such low payouts on base game, or something else, because it is really boring to have so low possible win in base game, i did not like when games work like this, it is mean that game not balanced, perfect game should be balanced, like immortal romance for example, where you can hit big in feature, but also can hit really big during base game.

By the way at Santa paws at least we have one more great thing, during all 12 free spins we get extra wilds, which is second paying symbol, so chances to collect 5 wilds grows fast, and if win will be really big or no depends on multiplier. From my 20 minutes playtime at 32red i notice that it is not so easy to trigger free spins, or probably i was just unlucky, and also i noticed that it is hard to see any good win in base game, i did not have even x 20 total bet during base game, so like i said, does not wait anything good from the base game here. I will not play this game again, feature is interesting of course, but base game is boring, and since most time you spent in base game - not my cup of tea.

'Santa Paws' game is powered by microgaming. This is the exact copy of the Avalon game. The only difference is the pictures. Because Avalon is such a popular game i'm sure you would know what i mean. Just like Avalon it has 20 lines and one feature, the free spins feature.

I play this game a lot and i had some really good wins on it and also some bad wins on it. The worst i ever won was around €2 on a €0.20 bet, the best one was around €70 on a €0.20 bet. To get the feature in this game i had to get three or more penguins holding a present anywhere on the reels. I never managed to get five penguins but i did get four few times. This awarded me with 12 free spins and a random multiplier of up to 7. Usually if i start getting small multipliers at the beginning of the free spins i know straight away it is not going to pay out, if they are big then i know its going to pay good.

Just like in Avalon one of the symbols becomes extra wild and getting five wilds with 7x could pay huge. I never ever managed that, but hopefully one day i will get it and take a picture. Over all they did not do as good of a job on the graphics as they did on Avalon. The feature is awesome and the game play is very smooth. I would recommend this game to all fans of Avalon, give it a shot its the same thing.

Now it's time for me to review another Christmas slot from Microgaming. I've already reviewed many already, and it really makes you wonder how many Christmas slots Microgaming actually has. Just prior to the December holidays Microgaming tends to release a newly Christmas themed slot every year.

With so many great releases it's easy to forget about the older ones. Santa Paws is one of those Christmas slots. The theme is basically based on arctic animals celebrating this fine holiday. The background sounds are well composed to get you into the right spirit.

Santa Paws has 20 paylines and 5 reels. The minimum bet is quite low since it only costs 20 cents to spin a reel with all paylines. I remember playing this game at 40 cents per spin. Thanks to the Santa paws symbol (beer = wild) winning combinations are not very hard to get during the base game.

You will have to be patient though to have a decent hit. I haven't spent too much time playing this slot, so my hits weren't anything to brag about. Like IcyMod said this slot format does compare a bit to that of Avalon (first version).

If you manage to get 3 or more scatter symbols (penguin), then you win 12 free spins with a random multiplier during each spin that can go all the way up to 7x.

In addition another wild symbol is added in the form of Rudolph (dolphin). It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that with two symbols to act as a wild and a potential 7x multiplier, the incentive could be huge!

Santa Paws is my equal version of Avalon. They both have 12 free spins with the same rules as with the multipliers, you can win up to 7x during free spins. It surprised me to know that before I started playing Santa Paws I didn't bother looking at the paytable because I wanted to be surprised. To leave a slot mysterious would let me jot down some important aspects of how much it can payout, what to expect and how long can I go before my balance lowers significantly.

At first sight I didn't really know that the Polar bear was actually the Santa symbol of this slot lol. That's what I get for not paying attention to the paytable...doubt was indeed my jump for a surprise. I should have known by the title "Santa Paws" hahahaha. To tell you the truth as Santa Paws is like Avalon what's not to like about it? Rudolf (as it is spelled) which is the whale with antlers and a red nose are just about the same as the treasure chests in Avalon.....they both become extra wilds during free spins.

What I feel they should include is an extra win for all spins resulting from a win or nothing. This will prove to be a more exciting gaming experience especially when random multipliers find itself mixed up in an extra win (ie. $1 extra win x 7x = $7 :D). I like betting 3 to 4 coins on Santa Paws to getwinnings off of it for a long time and while free spins can prove to be potentially shocking I can bet as far as 6 coins. In my opinion, even for an old slot this can beat Secret Santa's slot. It's more consistent to deal with and can be less annoying...by that I also mean every time I win a medium amount on Avalon, it starts to make a 5 of a kind sound out of the blue. I hate that sometimes even though my wins aren't gigantic.

Great 20 paylines slot, Christmas-y to it's best whether played In December or not, consistent wins everywhere and a potentially bad@s* feature proving to get me about $37 inside free spins for $0.80...more if on 6 coins!!! $130 is the biggest I've won so far that included a retrigger. 5 symbols inside are the bomb! Doubling my win inside the gamble feature can sometimes occur depending on what I feel. It's a great feeling to double up :) .
