I love music, but I haven't found any musical-band-themed game that I really like so far. At one time, there was Guns N Roses and Jimi Hendrix games for me to play and enjoy, but these 2 games have since become restricted games for me, the reasons for it I simply cannot figure out, so I'm basically back to square one. Not that it really matters to me, and I am not even bothered if I don't have any musical-themed favourite game. All I want and need is a game that can keep me happy and playing regularly, without punching a hole in my wallet each and every time.

This Rock On game from Rival software features a similarly named Free Spins game as in Guns N Roses - Encore Free Spins, offering 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier, but the difference between the 2 games lies in the Wild Reels feature. Rock On can only have an Expanding Wild Reel during the free spins when the Green Guitar Wild symbol appears in a winning combination, otherwise there would be none. Guns N Roses, on the other hand, has it for each and every free spin, so those free spins are definitely much more exciting and productive then Rock On's.

Briefly, the Green Guitar Wild symbol is non-paying, but doubles all wins with it, and expands to become a full Wild Reel in both the base game and during the free spins. The Drums is the non-paying Scatter symbol, serving only to trigger 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier, regardless of getting 3, 4 or 5 Scatter symbols. Argh! A real good waste of some winning potentials there! Not only that, getting those drums during the free spins do not retrigger more free spins, but getting them 5 times in a row would pay a bigger prize. However, there's no indication of what this prize or win multiplier can be, so your guess is as good as mine! Why not just indicate it? I really don't know either.

Elvis is the Bonus symbol, and is the third non-paying symbol in the game, so that's 3 times more lost winning chances! Sheesh! Getting 3 of more of Elvis symbols would award a Bonus game, but I have not got this as yet, so I cannot describe what that Bonus game would do or pay. Yet again, there's no description on it, I don't like this omission at all, but I'm not going to play the game more just to find out what the Bonus game can do! Lack of information, lose 1 Star rating - simple as that!

The only exciting thing that I can immediately see from the paytable, is the win value for the highest paying regular symbol, which is the Red Guitar, obviously copied from NetEnt's Jimi Hendrix game, but never mind. Get 5 of these Red Guitars and win 4000x the line bet, or 200x the total bet! Now that is a good value, but only because all the other main symbols in the game don't even pay a thing! The Wilds don't pay, the Scatters don't pay, and Elvis don't pay either, so if nothing else can pay good, then this game may as well be dead!

Well, I have only played this game on 2 occasions. The first time, it was disastrous! The second time, I broke even when I finally got a nice 150x win, then I quickly quit the game, before it can eat my credits again! Hahaha. Honestly speaking, I hardly got any good wins, except for that one and only one nice win, and all the other payouts were simply not enticing enough. A few times, the very small payouts even looked like rubbish! So, do I like this game? Nope! Would I play it again, maybe, and only maybe!

Rock On is a video slot game with 20 pay-lines and 5 reels created in Rival. If you are a fan of hard rock sound, then you will surely like this game. I am convinced that you will like it even if you are not fan of Rock music because the designers in Rival have really tried to make a superior game. The choice of colors, the fantastic animations, the sound effects and everything here is at one top level.

The theme follows the history of rock music in the last century. So, here you have a symbol with Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney as a representative of the Beatles, then there is a symbol of Jimi Hendrix, a symbol of the American singer of the band Kiss, then a symbol that reminds me of the singer of the British punk band The Exploited - Wattie Buchan and so we came to Guns N 'Roses and the symbol that reminds of the band's singer Axel Rose.

By a well-tested recipe, when it comes to the older Rival games, also here you have two bonus features. More precisely, you have a classic bonus round and a free spins feature. Three + symbols with a drums activate the Free Spins feature. Three or more symbols with Elvis will activate the bonus round. Also the expanding wild symbol here can help you to get to the big wins.

Once I played here quite often and also I had some decent wins. However, the last time when I played here I've lost a lot of money. Even though my sense was telling me that I should move on to another game I've kept making spins and spins here, hoping for some big wins that will turn around the things in my favor. Playing with a bet of 0.4 euros for about 1 hour that I spent here, I lost more than 150 euros. But no matter of that, this is a game that deserves high score. So, for the Rock On I'm going to give 8 of 10 possible stars.

Rock On is a very fun 20 payline 5 reel slot from Rival software. When I first played this game I had a feeling like I was at some rock concert waiting for the show to start. The background music is of course a guitar solo during the spins with some hard drums when a drums symbol appears on the screen. The symbols are very good designed and a good choice indeed. Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Kiss rockers and punks.

I just couldn't keep the image out of my head from the Twisted Sister video when the teacher asks the student yelling “ Stand up and tell the class what do you wanna do with your life? I wanna rock! “ So rock on!

There are a few thing (actually everything ) that I like about this game. The wild symbol is a green guitar and it expands to fill the reel. I often had wins with two wild symbols so two reels full with wild symbols. I always thought that the base play wins were bigger than the bonus wins with this game. If you get 3 of The King symbols anywhere on the reels you trigger the pick up bonus. It reminds me of guitar hero where you have to catch the beads coming down the fretboard by moving your mouse left and right. So this bonus game is all about your skills as a musician. The most I have won from this bonus is a small win of 22 euros.

Now I have to tell you about my favorite the free spins bonus. If you get 3 drum symbols anywhere on the screen you will be awarded with 5 free spins with a 5x multiplier. I know that 5 free spins isn't a lot but you have a 5 x multiplier and expanding wild symbols. So at the right time you can have a win of over 250 x bet like I did. That is why this is one of my favorite Rival slots and that is why I will rate it a perfect 10 out of 10.
