Pigskin Payout (what an interesting name) is a 20-payline slot comes out of Rival’s work pad and it’s dedicated to American Football and I can’t say this would be my favourite theme and environment but I know some real great sports slots that deals with this subject so getting to know this product was just a chance to broaden that list.

Unfortunately, the appearance of the slot is not what could really catch my attention and actually I find it a poor, not well-worked out interface. I don’t know what graphics technique Rival uses but definitely they need to upgrade and modernize it because the pictorial quality of the game is very questionable. We can see a stadium in the background but I suppose my little nephew could draw a more attractive picture (even with closed eyes) while the reel area and symbols aren’t decorated with nice colours and the ball, referee, cheerleader, game plan, foam finger, foods & drinks illustrations are far away from being considered as good looking pictograms. Somehow when I look at the screen it seems if it was made in many years ago when the available graphical and computer animation possibilities were limited.
So it’s no wonder that I’m absolutely not impressed with the interface of the game and based on this visual experience there would be no chance at all for this game to be added to my preferred slot list.

A little bit better my opinion about the game segment where the 7500 best line win prize by Wild seems to be acceptable and when it’s working in its substituting functionality it also can doubles the values of winning combinations. With the constantly appearing 6 Wilds I had some really great features and could satisfied with the combined profits at the end of the bonuses. I’m saying this despite I couldn’t name any single big win but when just in half an hour I get three entries to the side game and the least rewarding session brings back around €55 for my €1 bet, I think I’m allowed to speak about some nice profits at the end.

Overall, I have a so-so feeling about this game because I’m not a fan of how it looks like and don’t like at all the interface of the game but on the other hand it’s a real pleasant product regarding to the game features and the paying ability. I even find this game as a better rewarding one comparing to other Rival games which is a big surprise for me because I never thought that this game has the capability to do that so if it has got a more seductive appearance it easily could be on my mentioned ‘top slots’ list but sadly it hasn’t got and because my virtual game filofax is a little bit stone-hearted I think this slot has got some more to prove but it’s really in the good path to do it.
