With a game title that reads 'Nuclear Fishin', I was expecting a game that would play with sea creatures affected by an ugly nuclear holocaust aftermath, but this wasn't the case at all. The only thing in the game that refers to nuclear is that bomb, with its nuclear symbol on it. Everything else is just normal, with a normal diver and normal sea creatures. Beats me why even call this game Nuclear Fishin', hehehe.

Presentation wise, the game looks rather muted in its graphics, lacking vibrancy and attractiveness, but perhaps befitting the underwater scenario I guess. Still, for a game, I would have preferred it to be more vibrant. Anyway, the Diver is the Wild symbol in this game, a non-paying symbol yet again, but expands into a full Wild Reel with any wins. It only doubles wins during the free spins, so this isn't very helpful at all. The Seahorse, the Scatter symbol, pays 25x total bet for getting 5 of them, and awards 12 free spins without any other win multiplier. Getting 3 or more Seahorses during the free spins awards 2 Super Round free spins - yep, only 2 miserable free spins! Argh! During this 2 free spins, reel 1 is a full Wild Reel which multiplies all wins 3x, if that's any good at all.

The Barrel is a Bonus symbol, also paying 25x total bet for 5 of them, and awards a Bonus Round. In this game, you are to collect as many barrels into that Collector, but oddly enough, you cannot move or manipulate that Collector's position! What the argh! You win whatever barrel falls into it, like it or not! Oh, there's one more peculiarity - the Barrel symbols only appear during the free spins, so you cannot get any Bonus game in the base game play. That's another "argh" from me!

With the highest paying regular symbol at only 30x total bet win value, with the non-paying Wild symbols, and only 25x for the Scatter and Bonus symbols, you simply cannot get any nice big wins from this game! The paytable is very low, the Free Spins games usually pay disappointing peanuts, but the Bonus games do pay a consistent win most of the time, although nothing bigger than 20x total bet amount from all my playing sessions. I did not like this very much, because while I was playing I won only small winnings during base game. I wish I could trigger bonus game without triggering free spins first. When I almost closed the game, I got three scatter symbols and free spins feature started. I received 12 free games. 3 or more scatters anywhere on the screen during free games will trigger the super round – 2 additional free spins with first reel wild and with x3 mutliplier. I think the bonus game could be active anytime during base game, not only during free spins. Nuclear Fishing is an interesting 5 reel 25 payline game from Rival software. Last month I played a lot at Rival casinos and this was the game I played the most. It is water themed game with sea animals, barrels and a diver.

This game has 2 features - free spins and a bonus round. I've had both of them many times, but for me it is easier to catch the bonus round other than the free spins, because, to get the free spins you have to get at least 3 sea horses on the screen (the placement doesn't matter). If you get 3 sea horses, you'll get 5 free spins, if 4- 10, and if you're super lucky and get 5 of them, you'll be awarded with 20 free spins. All spins are played with 3x multiplier. Within all times I've played this game, only once or twice I've got the 20 spins. It is super hard. But to get the bonus round, you have to get at least 3 barrels. It isn't very hard to do and in my sessions, I get them at least 2 times. The bonus game is descent, it isn't very exciting but it can bring more than 5 free spins winnings. In the bonus game you have limited time to catch all the barrels and put them in one big barrel. Usually I get 6-8 barrels and it gives me around 4€- 5€ wins.

This game also has an expanding wild (the diver) which appears on 1st, 3rd and 5th reel. There has been one time when I got even 30€ win because of wilds. Last time I played this game at Domgame casino and it helped me to boost my balance a bit. I played with 1 coin on all 25 paylines, so my bet was 0.25€ per spin. I managed to get 5 free spins 2 times, both with 20x bet wins. One bonus round also appeared and gave me more than 5€.

Overall I think it is one of the best Rival games because even with small bets it mostly brings regular wins and even 100x bet wins aren't impossible because of the wilds. Although playing the bonus round for a few times can make it feel a bit boring, I think this is a descent game and the design for it is one of my favorites from this particular game provider.

Nuclear Fishin’ is just another slot around the ’underwater’ theme and I suppose the special Nuclear related icons were attached to this game just because to make it more curious but I think the slot would have been equally the same without inserting these not too well fitting symbols and I can’t really quite understand this solution. We’ve got here a very decent illustration of the water world and though sometimes I have some issues with the transparent background of the reel area because at times it really doesn’t do good for the overall visual experience but at Nuclear Fishin’ it is solved greatly and this image and the icons on the reels are harmonize well to each other and they’re all also well structured. The graphics are average but the funny fishes, crabs, medusas, octopuses in cartoonish style make it more attractive and the humorous little winning animations also increase the effects of the pleasant view.

The slot shows some average qualities in game segment too which won’t urge players to say ‘Wow’ but I guess also really won’t disappoint anyone. The Jackpot of the game which can be achieved with Nuclear Torpedo symbols is worth 5000 times more than the original line bet was and at least 3 Seahorse emblems needed to activate free spin section which is definitely the most profitable part of the game and this is the feature that the players want to see much more times.

During that session, which consists of 5, 10 or 25 extra spins, all wins are calculated by the help of a x3 multiplier and even though the most commonly 3 icons trigger just 5 games but sometimes they’re good enough to get some acceptable result in return. Once, when I could witness my most memorable run on this slot I was awarded that 5 spins but I was fortunate enough to see a 5 of a kind win by the best paying fish symbols which has a x1200 of line bet rewarding ability, so with the tripled prize and other smaller win I could collect almost €150 for my €1.25 bet. I suppose it was just a one-time wonder because a normal free spin side game brings back around 5-30 times of total bet.

I don’t really like how the Wild works here, and I say this despite the substituting symbol appears in extended format on the reels but it does that only on the first, third and last reels but what I really miss, without any paying or win multiplying ability. The expanding function is great but I would prefer if it had a multiplying capability. The traditional bonus secondary game the slot offers is a quite good extra that requires the player to have some kind of skill as we have to catch the sinking barrels and toward them into a vacuum tube. It reminds me a little of the video games from the past but it still has some fun to play with. The other point of view which comes to effect, this is also a relative good paying extra if we can collect enough barrels and its average payout most of the times is more than x20 of stake.

Overall, it’s a very decent product with some nice bonus qualities but a little bit better, more adequate symbol selecting and more frequently times triggering extras wouldn’t hurt the reputation of this slot but other than that in my opinion Nuclear Fishin’ is among the slots that has entertaining ability and players can spend some enjoyable and funny times with it. Even though this slot is not really outstanding in any ways I wish I could never play with any worse video games than this in the future.
