King Tiger is 5 reels and 20 pay-lines video slot powered by Microgaming software. The theme of this slot revolves around jungle animals. The reels are set against the backdrop of trees and tall grass with the sun trying to find its way through. The symbols featured include animals such as a buffalo, a tiger, an elephant, a deer, a bird of some sorts, and high card values. Give it a spin here for free or visit Microgaming Casinos to play for real money.
Before entering this jungle to observe the animals, you will need to adjust your bets. By clicking on "Lines +/-" you can set the number of lines. With "Bet +/-" you can set coins size that ranges from 0.01 to 2. "Gamble" activates the gamble feature, and "Autoplay" and it is used to set the reels in motion without interruption for a desired number of times. "Spin" button is used to spin the reels.
Special symbols in this video slot include a scatter and a wild which can be stacked. Bonus features, on the other hand, include Free Spins, and Gamble feature.
The Wild symbol is the tiger and it can only appear on the reels two, three and four. The symbol can be stacked which offers a lot of potential winnings. As any other wild, this one can also act as the substitution for any other symbol except for the scatter.
The scatter of the game is a pink flower. If you land 2 scatters you will be awarded with the appropriate prize, but if you hit three or more scatters on the reels you will activate Free Spins feature. Once activated you will get 10 free spins and all winnings will be multiplied by 3. If you land 3 more scatters during this feature you can re-activate free spins.
The Gamble feature can be activated each time you land a winning combo by clicking on the "Gamble" button. Here you stand to double or quadruple your winnings. If you guess the color of the card you will double the winnings, and if you guess the suit your winnings will be quadrupled. If you make a wrong guess you will lose everything and you will be taken back to the base game. You are limited to 5 correct picks.

This King Tiger game is an oldie from Microgaming, and I can't even recall when my last play on it was. I came across this game again when Red Stag Casino sent me promotional emails on their Freeroll tournaments, and King Tiger was one of those listed games. Well, that got me playing King Tiger again, after such a long break from it, but as expected, the game brought no new excitement to me. Heck, it didn't even rekindled any old excitement either.
Without needing to elaborate deeply, suffice to say that the overall look of this old game is weary, looking very tired and very dated, with uninteresting icons. Only the Tiger looks good enough. The flower and the buffalo icons could be better, but all the rest are just as how they should be 15 years ago or so. The Tiger is the Wild symbol, appearing only on reels 2, 3 and 4, and comes stacked on all reels. It doesn't pay for itself, it doesn't double any wins, it doesn't move, shift or expand, and is yet again another of Microgaming's infamous example of a true blue dumb Wild. The Flower is the Scatter symbol, paying the usual 100x the total bet for 5 of them, and getting 3 or more of the Scatters award 10 free spins with all wins tripled. The Free Spins game can be retriggered, so says the paytable, but 10 free spins are just not enough, so says the players. Symbols wise, the Elephant pays 5000x, the Buffalo pays 1000x, whilst all the others pay from 500x to 100x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind. A low paytable.
There are no other random features nor any Bonus games to be had, so it's only the Free spins game that could pay good wins with its 3x multiplier. Nothing else can pay higher. Luckily for that freeroll tournament, I get to play King Tiger all over again, and after spinning more than 1000 spins, I finally realised why this game had slipped my memory altogether. It was just not interesting enough. Neither was it paying good enough. In fact, nothing was good enough, as far as I am concerned, and King Tiger shall once again reside in my deep freezer and be forgotten for many more years to come.
