I don’t think the name and theme of this little 15-payline slot would be a good choice or a wise decision from the developer’s part. We can play here with Hobo character as well as family, trash can, fruits or hobo wrap on a stick symbols but the one when we can see hobo portrayed in a cardboard box is not what I really like to play with. Ok, perhaps I’m a little bit super sensitive for this but I can’t help I just don’t find it too appropriate. If I were the creators I definitely would have used cute animal characters for this game just to make a little bit funny and probably to take away any negative feelings that this game may or may not cause.

Just to speaking of directly from the game the graphics are not too convincing and can’t be said it would be too high quality or imaginative and complementing with a very minimal style design the whole appearance of the game is not impressive in any way. Unfortunately, it can’t be expected from a Rival product to be rival for other developers’ graphical solution but I still would be expect more even from a very average slot like Hobo’s Hoard is.

7500 times of line bet is the most we can win by line and we can do that with Trash Can icon which also serves the game as Wild and when it’s substituting it doesn’t bring any plus to the table, namely, can’t multiply any wins. Pop Can emblem is the free spin triggering symbol if at least 3 of them can be visible anywhere on the reels when 10 free spins are awarded where every win is multiplied by x3. Family pictogram can trigger the free spins if 3 or more appear on the screen at the end of a spin in normal game and both this and the Wild symbol has paying ability but they’re not too worth-mentioning as they can pay up to 50 times of bet.

Sometimes the free spins brings some acceptable wins but generally it’s not a too generous side game and there were occasions where I could finish my extra spins with winnings that didn’t cover even the total stake of the triggering spin.
The Hobo’s Hoard Bonus round is one of the most simple and at the same time the less entertaining secondary game what we can play with. We’re carried to another scene where we see 5 people and have to pick one of them to reveal an instant bonus credit that will be multiplied by line bet. Even though it’s paying ability is not that terrible and the average credits that can be won is around 500-1000 but I still think it’s a bad side game and not that one what I like to wait for.

Generally, even though this slot seems to be a very average, ordinary product but in my book it doesn’t reach that level. Excluding the bonus round it has a poor paying ability and somehow the whole game seems to me not a well-done job. I think Rival would have lot of work with this product if they want it to be a player-magnet one or just make it more attractive but even if it would be realized - which I can’t see too much chance for that – I don’t think they could be succeeded. This is just a slot which built by a wrong concept with false graphics scheme and no parts of the game has that quality that a player could really appreciate. For me this is just another messed up product by Rival.
