This is an interesting game with a theme of Circus. Everyone loves circus, it is a place where you take your family to see some weird and amazing things performed by people. But to me, every time I hear of circus I remember a horrible accident that happened in circus when they visited my city. They visit us twice a year and they do 16 days of performance. Few years ago they had some animals with them, including tigers. They were huge and well taken care of. You could tell straight away that they are young and they were smart too, because they could do tricks. So one night some guy sneaks in near them and some time later they found him with both arms ripped off. Now I don't know what happened there and everyone says different thing, but it is a crazy story.

Now whenever I see a game with circus mentioned I can't help but to remember this story. For some reason the game becomes very interesting and I have to play it. The time when I was playing this game was not so long after that accident, so I was really interested to see what happens. And with my luck, the tiger is the wild in this game and also the biggest pay.

There are 15 lines in this game and I was betting $0.45. The game was not in its best mood so most of my spins were coming out with out a win. I kept on playing and even though I was getting some wins my balance was still going down. So I fiddled with the bets, up and down, I kept on going. After some time I got three scatters and got 10 free spins. Pretty average action with a total of little over $20. Not what I expected, but just a few spins later I got free spins again. I got just around same amount and was honestly disappointed. You know for some reason I expected more. Every time after that, the game was pretty average. I would get spins, win small, and spend my winnings trying to get the free spins again. I did win once over $50 in free spins but that was only once.

So for average game I am going to give average rating.

Here you can find a lot of symbols which remind you of a circus. There is the ever present clown. What would a circus be without a clown? Then there is a symbol with a magician, a bear that rides a bicycle, a lion, a seal that plays with a ball and others. In my opinion Rival were a bit more creative compared to the competition when it came to symbols. But I can only say that for the symbols and not for the graphic, sound and features.

This game is a lot more boring compared to Microgaming’s Flaying Circus for example. In my opinion Flaying Circus is not one but two steps before Five Reel Circus. I also think that this is one of the most boring slot games coming from Rival. The graphic is really below average compared to other Rival slot games. I can say the same thing about the sound which begins to irritate you after a while. From the features there is a free spins bonus. 10 free spins in total for 3 scatter symbols.

The payouts from these free spins are always small. The last time I played here I set my bet to 0.3 euros and 100 automatic spins. My balance didn’t change much compared to the original state. I got the free spins bonus but without some big wins. It was so boring to look at the monitor while these free spins passed and I almost fell asleep.

Overall Five Reel Circus really doesn’t have anything exciting to offer. There are no interesting bonus rounds nor big payouts, one big nothing.
