Domnitors Slot BGAMING

Domnitors is 5 reels and 9 pay-lines video slot powered by BGAMING software. The slot is inspired with the history of governors of Romania, Transylvania and Moldova. Background has historic setting which includes medieval symbols such as castles and different weapons. Also, the music in the background will certainly remind you of those from movies when a battle is about to take place. You can try this slot for free on this page, or you can visit any of the SoftSwiss Casinos to play for real money.

Before you go back in time, you should set your bets. By clicking on "Bet Value" you will set the coins size which ranges from 0.1 to 1, and with "Line Count" you will set the number of lines. "Auto Spins" settings will allow you to set everything concerning spinning the reels automatically without interruption. "Spin" will turn the reels once you set your bet. "Max Bet" is used to set the maximum bet and spin the reels automatically. "Gamble" will start the gamble feature when you choose to do so.

One of the leaders is the Wild symbol and it can form winning combos both on its own and when substituting in a line win. The Wild can substitute for all symbols in the game except for the Scatters. All wins where Wild substitutes are doubled.

A Map is the Scatter symbol and it can form scatter wins when there are 2 or more of them appearing anywhere on the reels. If you land 3 or more of these anywhere on the reels, apart from scatter wins, you will trigger Free Spins feature. Once triggered, you will be awarded with 15 spins. All wins during this feature are tripled.

After each winning round you can choose to gamble your wins in an attempt to either double or quadruple them. All you need to do is guess the color of the card next to be drawn in order to double the winnings, or guess the suit in order to quadruple them. If you make wrong guess, it will result in you losing the gambled amount and you will be returned to the base game.

When I looked at the game's paytable for the very first time, everything looked pretty good, with potentials for decent good wins. Well, that was my first impression of course, but after realising that this Domnitors game plays with only 9 paylines, I then saw the many shortcomings of the game!

Basically, the Free Spins game offers 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier and can be retriggered, so this reminds me of my favourite Safari Heat game from Playtech. However, getting 2 scatters would pay 3x the bet amount, which is the highest payout that I know of, but of course, the 2 scatters won't be appearing so regularly, and getting 5 scatters would pay a marvelous 600x total bet, beating Safari Heat's win values! But all is not that well, sad to say, because the 9 paylines actually reduces the winning chances by a big margin! Any experienced player would be able to 'see' this, and playing the game would actually prove it!

The Free Spins game is a totally disappointing event, I must say! Instead of seeing the reels spinning, you see a map, with a path heading to the next location. Immediately after that, the next screen would show the stopped reels, with or without any wins - an absolutely boring way to play the free spins! How the BGaming guys could come up with such a gameplay I just cannot figure out! Thank God they realised this and reverted back to the standard spinning reels in the sequel game Domnitors Deluxe.

Honestly speaking, I do like the win values of the symbols in Domnitors, but after playing many thousands of spins, the 9 paylines shortcomings proved to be very disastrous indeed, eliminating so many winning chances, simply because of the missing winning paylines. 15 paylines would certainly have made a huge difference in the gameplay and game payouts, but I guess BGaming did not have this intention in the first place! Ah well, Domnitors isn't making into my playing list, sad to say.

It's one of the weirdest game I ever played.

I always wondering how SoftSwiss could be that popular? Is it because their games were promoted that well and people actually loved them? I think it's because their games are playable with the now most used currency named Bitcoin. Bitcoin is well known of it's anonymity for people to use and this is also one of the safest way of payment.

Personally, I don't like games from SoftSwiss. The main reason because they don't feel like games to me. At first, they looked like a lot of other games from less known providers but apparently SoftSwiss got more popular and they now spent more money to make new games. Domnitors is a good example of it. It looks better, it pays also better. So, I do begin to liking this software more.

A few years ago, I was introduced to the new currency Bitcoin and a few casinos offered free spins on the game Platinum Lightning. Back then, in my experience they were only playable with Bitcoin and I did accept the offers, tried the game and didn't like it. Not only it's because it felt weird to play with Bitcoin but it was also quite expensive. Now, they have released Domnitors, a 9 paylined game with a minimum of 9 cent per bet. Cheaper games means, more chance of exploring them and so I did.

Domnitors could pay big if you hit the right combinations. For a big win, you need a wild symbol appearing on an active payline. Also, the game has only 1 bonus feature namely the free spins feature, well, it's not exactly free spins because when you triggered the bonus feature, you'll see a map with black crosses and trails on it. The crosses turned red and switched back to the reels, showing how much you won and then it went back to the map again. This goes on for 15 times. I think it's kinda annoying but that's the way they made it.

I like the game but it's not my favorite, it felt weird playing it but do love the payouts. It's a nice game to play if you're drunk.
