Cool As Ice is one of many video slots which I played this month. It has 25 pay lines and it is creation of Genesis Gaming software provider. The game has nice theme about cool ice and the graphics is not so bad.

The game offer different features. First is iceberg wild. When iceberg wild symbols appears on third reel, it will make the entire reel wild. Randomly it may fill in either reels 2, 4 or both. I got this feature many times and most of the times I had only small winnings. The best win was around x18 bet. I don't think this is so great feature, but the base game is more interesting because of it.

There are also ice fishing feature. On reels 2 and 4 there will be frozen symbols. Breaking the ice will reveal the symbol underneath, a prize may also be revealed. I do not like this feature because the game became slower. I had to wait for ice breaker to break those symbols and revealed the prizes. Maybe this feature could be without this animations and payouts were not so good at all.

Husky racing is another feature, but this one I did not received. There are also free spins feature into Cool As Ice video slot. You have to select some items inside the igloo before the start. Each pick will award free spins and may award an increase to the free spins multiplier. You can win up to 46 free spins and up to maximum multiplier of x15.

I think this game could be good. But I don't like it because it is slow. I like to play slots where reels are moving faster than at this one. I think I will not play it again. Maybe it could provide some good winnings during free spins, but still I won't play it. I will rate it with 6 stars.

Cool as Ice is a real Arctic slot where we can play with very nice and funny animal symbols like husky, seal, polar bear, penguin. I think it was a good idea to make this slot a humorous game because I believe the used cute animal characters illustrated in facetious style is always popular among players and if a game has such lovely and well-created icons is a very good starting point. Anyway the graphics are very decent and the design is simple but in my opinion this displaying style doesn’t require to be paired any special pictorial elements so my final verdict is positive regarding to the appearance of the game.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m surprised how much kind of features are available here and I wouldn’t have been shocked at all if the game would just work with the very fundamental features like Wild and free spins but it has Iceberg Wild, Husky Racing, Ice Fishing add-on's just to name a few. The traditional Wild which also gives the best award for a 5 of a kind win (1000 coins) just replace other icons in winning combination without multiplying them but we have Iceberg Wild to which symbol works separately and it appears only on the third reel and makes all three symbols on that reel Wilds. It can happen that it expands its function to the second and/or fourth reels too but I have never seen such arrangement.

If a Husky symbol pops up in any position on the first reel and a Sled icon does that on the same row on the last reel at the same time the Husky Racing bonus game starts but instead of a secondary screen just 3 Sleds appear on the main screen and race towards to the other end of the reel area and of course at the end of the race we’re awarded with cash prizes. This is the feature which I like the least because the won amount here is not so much.

But Igloo Free Spin feature is a totally different story. We need to have 3 Scatters on the base game (only appears on the three inner reels) then we move to an igloo where we have to pick items until one of them reveals a ‘Collect’ label which ends the selection process. Every selected object may give number of free spins or win multiplier value up to 46 extra games and very great x15 multiplier. Needless to say that not many times we can succeed to select more than 15 spins and x3 multiplier but it’s always a great thing to have a chance something real noticeable sessions. The feature can be re-triggered awarding the same number of spins and multiplier what the previously played session had.

It’s a real great extra and depending on the luck in the igloo it can be truly profitable at times. Once when I had x5 multiplier but just 7 spins I was worried about the few spins but luckily the fourth spin gave in a 5 of a kind win with Walruses and at the end of the 7th spin my balance could increase with a nice €135 amount. Normally, playing with €1.25 this session doesn’t give more back than x15-x30 of total bet. There’s one more little feature but we can meet it the most times out of all features, named Ice Fishing feature. On the second and/or third reels from time to time appears an ice cube symbol and an Eskimo comes along and break the cube and reveal a randomly selected symbol which may even give instant cash prize around x1-x5 of total bet.

Generally, this is an interesting product and the player can feel as if something different is happening in almost every minute. The payout tendency of the game is acceptable but some of them should have more rewarding settings but overall considering the funny atmosphere the slot creates which sometimes really capable to cheer me up I think it’s a pleasant product and enjoyable enough to play with and if Fortuna also wants it Cool as Ice can be even profitable at least it proved me how to make me satisfying at the end of a session.
