I don't usually play slots that are released by Rival but decided to give this one a try by seeing it totally randomly browsing the slot section on the casino I am playing on. The game Chariots of Fire is released in 2017 so I hoped that the graphics won't be bad and got highly surprised with how attractive game looks especially when you give it some time spinning it really looks beautiful. The game has 5 reels and 25paylines because it was my first time playing it I was playing the lowest stake I could and that was 0.25$ a spin.

Free spins feature in the game was hard to get at first I got teased many times but after some time I managed finally to get 3 Soldier symbols that gave me 8 free spins with only 2x multiplier which I thought its low until I started playing the spins and saw that every single spin I have a wild symbol on 3 reel that expands and got around 50x playing it for the first time which was really good.
Next couple times triggering the bonus paid massively low around 2-3x and I thought I am done with a game and was ready to leave but somehow I triggered bonus again and what a surprise after a couple a spins I actually retriggered it by getting 3 Soldiers symbols again and thought that I am gonna get additional 8 free spins which was not the case, instead I got 2 super rounds spin that had wild symbols on reel 1 and 3 being fully expanded and the amount of money I got in those 2 free spins was amazing 80x just like that.

Basegame wins put me on fire for real to get burn, as they were really disappointing the best win I got was like 10x even getting 2 wild on the reels won't help you that much when there is no multiplier involved and after seeing the paytables and how low symbols pay I would need to have amazing luck to get some huge wins.

Please if you are letting me do the quick spinning whole time in a base game then why for god sake wouldn't the game let me do quick spins while playing free spins round, there tends to be a lot of dead and boring spins which I am not able to skip and being forced to watch till the end.
Free spins feature isn't anything exclusive if you don't get the retrigger having 2x multiplier isn't bad but most of the time first two symbols won't connect and then the 3 reels full of wilds becomes useless.

Chariots Of Fire is one of the new releases by Rival, but don't ask me when they were released - I have never paid much attention to them! Hahaha. But being a new game, one which I haven't played or tried out as yet, I then took an opportunity to give the game a good go. After all, Roman or Caesar-themed games have a certain grasp on me, even though I have yet to find a good replacement for Playtech's 'Gladiator' game.

Looking bright and vibrant, the overall appearance of this game is quite attractive, but those poor souls, Caesar and the Maiden, could certainly do with a much better facial expression! Look at that Maiden icon for example - she has a really wide-eyed totally-surprised look, like thinking "you're playing this game???" Sorry lady, if not for trying out sake, I wouldn't want to play this game either! Hahaha.

Well, okay, being attracted by the game's vibrancy is one thing, but looking at the paytable suddenly extinguished out all the burning flames and light! There's a Wild symbol in the game, that Roman flag Insignia, but it doesn't pay anything for itself, it doesn't double wins with it, but it does expand into a full Wild Reel with wins, but only on reels 1, 3 and 5. The Roman Soldier is the Scatter symbol, with a miserably low 25x total bet win for getting 5 of them, and awarding only 8 free spins with a 2x multiplier. Argh! This should have been with a 5x multiplier instead! Each free spin plays with a full Wild Reel on reel 3, and getting 3 or more of the Soldier symbols award an additional 2 Victory Spins, with a full Wild Reel on reels 1 and 3. With even lower values for the other symbols in the game, the paytable can only be an 'argh'-uably painful one!

Ah well, I have never expected much out of newer Rival games anyway, so I wasn't surprised at all. Nonetheless, seeing those Wilds expanding on the reels was exciting enough at times, especially when all 3 Wild symbols appeared on reels 1, 3 and 5 in one of my base game spins, but that blardy reel 4 had only non-winning symbols to show! What the argh! My best win of 85x total bet was achieved in one of these Free Spins games. The wins in the base game, on the other hand, could only be described as disappointing, because there simply aren't any win multipliers anywhere to boost up the wins! Chariots of fire? Yeah, I'm not surprised at all - someone probably got so upset and put them on fire! Hahaha.
