Book of Gold: Classic Slot Playson

Book of Gold: Classic slot runs on Playson software across 5 reels and 10 paylines which will take you far to the East, to the land of pyramids rising high up in the sky. Egyptian themed slot with sky-high variance and pretty simple and straightforward features can get you a couple of hours of decent fun. Get the reels moving for real at any of the Playson Casinos, or you can try doing it here for fun.

How to Book of Gold: Classic Slot

Here’s a quick guide on how to control the slot and how you can up your bets if necessary.

  • When you click on Bet, a list will pop up showing the possible bets that you can choose from.
  • Up/Down Arrows that are located next to the Bet button will either increase or decrease the current bet by one level.
  • If you want to use the fastest way to set the maximum bet allowed, simply hit Max.
  • Spin is there to set the reels in motion once the bets have been chosen.
  • A is the Autoplay, and you can use it to set the reels moving automatically, for a chosen number of times, without any interruptions.

Slot Features

Gold Pharaoh Book is the Scatter symbol and it can form scatter wins for 3 or more scatters landing anywhere on the reels. Scatter symbol can substitute for all the symbols in the game except for the Special Expanding symbol that appears on the reels during the Free Spins. In addition, landing 3 or more scatters will trigger 10 spins.

Free Spins

The Free Spins feature is triggered with 3 or more scatters on the reels, and additional 3 will retrigger the feature and award additional 10 spins, on top of the initial 10 spins. Prior to the feature start, the special expanding symbol will be randomly expanding. Any symbol can be chosen as the Special Expanding symbol, and it can fill up the whole reel.

As already mentioned, the Book of Gold: Classic slot is another clone of Book of Ra Deluxe slot, but it is a pretty good one. Design-wise the slot looks good, but it’s nothing too special, nor innovative nor should you expect to get your socks blown off. Feature and gameplay are decent, and the payouts are good enough, so we will leave it up to you to decide whether you want to test the clone or play the original.

The ''Book of Gold: Classic'' is a great follow-up to ''Book of Gold: Double Chance'' with more Streamlined mechanics in Free Spin mode, with top payout 5.000x bet. The slot also features: High variance/Scatters/Wilds/Special Expanding symbol during Free Spins mode.

I have played a lot of Book games, but this is the first ever instance that I have come across a book game that has a 20 cents starting bet! Why the double cost per spin? This Book Of Gold Classic game is just the same as any other book game, and it doesn’t even have any special feature to warrant the extra cost per spin. So, is Playson really desperate to make quick profits from players? I’m already not liking Playson simply for this very strange anomaly!

Everything about this game, or in this game, are similar to any other game. It plays with 10 lines, the Book symbol is both the Wild and Scatter symbol, the win values of all the other symbols are just the same as in any other game as well, so there’s absolutely no reason whatsoever to have a 20 cents starting bet. Players would be losing at twice the speed and twice the amount, or winning twice as much no doubt, but after playing this game for several hundreds of spins, I’m more inclined to believe in that losing twice as fast argument!

How so? Well, I actually played this game on two separate occasions, simply because I couldn’t believe that the game could play so damn badly the first time around! My $20 deposit got eaten away so quickly, right from spin number 1, and all the way to zero balance, without even giving me one free spins feature game! That was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had on any Book game so far! The next day, I made another deposit and gave it one more try. After over 200 spins, the first feature game finally came, but paid an unbelievably low win of just 3x my bet amount! That was simply ridiculous and got me billowing smoke out of my ears!

Nonetheless, I kept on playing, hoping to get a better play from this Playson’s game. Two more free spins feature games did finally come, about 100 spins or so apart from the other, but both games paid a measly win of 36x and 24x respectively. A better win of 62x came not too long later, and with that win, I immediately quit my playing session.

I got so boiled up with this game that I vowed never to play any of Playson’s game ever again! Playson, to me, is one of the worst game providers that I have come across so far, because a few of its other games that I have played all turned out in a similar horrendous way as well!
