This game from Barcrest and is based on the Beetlejuice movie that was made in 1988. The slot comes with 5 reels and up to 12 symbols on each reel. It can be played for as little as 0.10 per spin which will ensure you get as many spins as possible and trust me on this you will need it as the slot can take a very long time to drop in the 3 scatters to trigger the feature. In the base game, you first need to get a win on the bottom half of the reels in order to unlock the upper half. There are wilds and ghost symbols that will substitute for all symbols except scatters.
You will need the rare scatter symbols, at least 3 of them to get into the feature where the real fun begins and the increasing multiplier ensures the wins start getting good. Every cascading win brings the multiplier up starting from x1, sometimes reaching over x20! And what is more, you can retrigger the feature by getting 3 or more scatters during the feature but for me, during 10 features it hasn’t happened yet but I know it is possible as I have seen videos of it happening.
Now as is most common the more scatters you get the more free spins you start with but with only 3 scatters you start with 8 spins, however, get 4 scatters and you get 12 spins, and for 5 scatters starts you with 16 spins. I have seen a video of someone getting 5 scatters thus it could happen. One thing I noticed is that you can never get 3 scatters on the bottom half of the screen before unlocking the upper half. It is just designed that way for some reason.
On the reels you will see the ghost man himself Beetlejuice, the highest paying symbol of all, then you have other characters from the movie, Lydia, shrunken head, Green skin lady, Beetlejuice as snake form, and the playing card symbols of 10, J, Q, K, A. Now I will say this the average feature does pay over 100x bet and I have had it 10 times with the best one being just under 160 x Bet and the lowest one 65x. The base game can occasionally deliver a very good base win and the best I have had so far has been a bit over 164x and that is actually higher than any of my 10 features on this slot! I chose to play it at a casino with RTP of 96% which I think is the default RTP setting and other places may have it at lower so check before you start spinning.

The base game can be harsh, can’t get 3 scatters in the bottom half of the screen and need to unlock the upper half by getting a win in the bottom and this can be frustrating when you have two scatters on the bottom but you see one or more scatters in the upper half but you haven’t unlocked it. Sometimes when you are getting cascading wins there is an important symbol missing on reel 1 or 2 for example and it doesn’t drop in missing out on hundreds of ways x that symbol! The top symbol is very rare to get a good connection with when it is multiple ways. The feature can take a very long time to drop in and I have found it to be on average almost 700 spins! For some reason, this slot was designed with a very high average number of spins to trigger the free spins that is just insane. Bonanza has about a 450 spin average and yet this Beetlejuice slot is around 700! that’s crazy.
