I'm not very sure of which Arabian tale is being referred to by this game, because there's an Aladdin's Lamp icon but no Aladdin himself, there's also the Genie but who is the Lady with the snake around her neck? Hmm, or have I forgotten how the tale of Aladdin and the magic lamp goes? Anyway, this isn't really a new game from Rival software, because it's been around for at least 1 or 2 years, I can't quite remember. What I know is that I have played it a few times before this, but never getting to like it then. Recently, I played it one more time to refresh my memory, hoping that I'll get a much performance from the game.
The Magic Lamp is the Wild symbol, it doesn't pay anything for itself, but doubles wins with it and expands into a Wild Reel with any wins. It also substitutes for other symbols except the Scatter symbol. The Genie is the Scatter symbol, paying a very low 50x the total bet for getting 5 of them, and getting 3 or more of the Genie symbols trigger 12 free spins with all wins tripled. The Free Spins game can be retriggered. The Tiger is also a Scatter symbol, paying 50x the total bet for getting 5 of them, but it doesn't trigger any special feature. The Old Man is the Jackpot symbol, paying 2500x the line bet for getting 5 of them, but there isn't any Jackpot Prize to be won in this version. Maybe other versions may have Jackpot Prizes, I'm not too sure. As for the other symbols, the Villain pays 1000x, the Snake Lady pays 750x, the Flying Carpet pays 600x, the Dagger pays 400x, the Book pays 225x, and the rest pay from 150x to 65x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. A low paytable.
The only good thing about this Arabian Tales game is that the Wild symbol can expand on any reel, turning into a full Wild Reel, making getting a 5-Wild-Reels win a possibility, for the maximum possible win of 375,000x the line bet, or 7500x the total bet in the Free Spins game. In the base game, this can only be 2500x the total bet amount, without the 3x free spins win multiplier. But of course, this is only a once-in-a-lifetime win, so I wouldn't be bothered about it at all, nor would I be chasing after it either. What is more important to me is how the game would play and pay in everyday plays.
Well, even my recent play on Arabian Tales couldn't bring me any win at all. The most I could get out of the few Free Spins games was a 64x total bet win, the others were all miserable, from 1x to 14x total bet wins.Payouts in the base game were no better, without giving me anything above 20x my bet amount even. Yet another very disappointing game for me.
