All Aboard is a romantic train travel themed video slot from the well-known Rival software provider. The game features 5 reels and 20 paylines it is packed with expanding Wilds, Free Spins and a Bonus Round. Due to the fact that its reels are covered in trains, cars, conductors, railroad crossing signs, and animal cargo, the slot should sit well for anyone interested in travel and especially locomotives. Take it for a spin on this page for free or head over to any of our Rival Casinos to play for real money.
Before you embark on the exciting train ride, you should adjust your bet. “Select Coins” modifies the number of coins wagered and the coin size, ranging from 0.01 to 0.25, is set by clicking +/- beneath the coin symbol. “Select Lines” alters the number of active paylines. While “Spin” spins the reels, “Bet Max” turns them at the highest wager. To spin the reels automatically for a number of times and without interruption, players need to click “Auto”.
All you need are three Casey Jones symbols to activate the All Aboard slots free spin mode, the more Casey Jones symbols you can get, the better your prize becomes: with three symbols, you’ll be awarded 10 free spins at a 2x multiplier, four symbols will give you 20 free games at 3x, and five symbols give you the mac-daddy of 40 spins at a 4x multiplier!
All Aboard slot Bonus Round is triggered with three or more Bell scatter symbols. Once you hit the lucky combination a new screen launches revealing your mission. You will have to search the boxcars until you find an empty one. The All Aboard bonus game can be triggered during the free spin round.

Back in my Rival playing days some years ago, this 'All Aboard!' game was one of my favourites. I've played it don't know how many times already, and whenever I was logged into a Rival casino, I was sure to give this game a few spins. But, in those early days, I wasn't concerned at all about the game's paytable. In fact, I couldn't even figure out if it was good or not so good, or whatever. All I knew was if I did make a win, then it's a good game. If not, then I must try again. Hahaha. Ignorance can be bliss, but when already knowledgeable, like now, I can only laugh them off, but those silly mistakes would not be repeated anymore.
I have always regarded 'All Aboard!' as a fairly good game to play back in those days, winning some but losing even more. Looking at the paytable now, I realised how ignorant I was at that time. The Train is the Wild symbol in the game, appearing only on reels 1 and 2, expanding and doubling all wins with it, yet it pays nothing for itself. It also substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter symbol. Casey Jones, the train driver or engineer, is the Scatter symbol. It is a dumb symbol that doesn't pay anything for itself, but getting 3, 4 or 5 of the Scatter symbols trigger 10 free spins with 2x multiplier, 20 free spins with 3x multiplier, or 40 free spins with 4x multiplier, respectively. The Free Spins game can be retriggered too. Nice.
The Bell is the Bonus symbol, also a dumb symbol that doesn't pay anything for itself, but getting 3 or more of them trigger the Bonus Round, whereby you keep picking the Boxcars to win cash prizes, until you pick an empty one which ends the game. The prizes in this bonus game usually aren't that much, around 20x to 30x the total bet amount, but it's sufficient to keep you going. As for the other symbols, the Metal Pin pays 1600x, the Conductor pays 480x, the Caboose pays 360x, the Horsebox pays 320x, the Cart pays 240x, and the rest pay from 160x to 60x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. A very low paytable, as I have just realised.
What I like about this game is that the retriggers do come quite often during the free spins, effectively making the Free Spins game into 20 free spins with a 2x multiplier frequently. Imagine if this retriggers happen during the 40 free spins and 4x multiplier game. That would indeed be so lovely, if you can get it that is. What I don't like is the non-paying Wild symbol, the non-paying Scatter symbol and the non-paying Bonus symbol. That's a lot of additional winning chances being omitted out from the game. Moreover, the values of the other symbols too are way too low to provide any good wins. My most recent play on this game paid from 0x to 36x my bet amount, which are disappointing indeed, but I still quite like this game. Damn!
