This is another Barcrest game that looks more like it belongs in a pub or a seaside amusement arcade than an on-line casino. It's really basic, lacking even an autoplay function so you'll need a well oiled mouse finger if you want to play this game for more than a couple of hundred spins!
The reels are mostly occupied by worthless circles so be prepared for a whole lot of dead spins, and the games highest paying symbol the "7"s are REALLY rare, it's easily possible to go twenty spins without seeing a single one land on screen and actually getting a few of them on a payline seems near enough impossible! There are only two other symbols with a paytable allocation in the whole game but don't think that means you'll be seeing a whole lot of five of a kinds of the lower two symbols .. and none of them actually pay amazingly anyway with just 2.5x, 5x and 25x your stake on offer. It is however theoretically possible to land a full screen of any of the three symbols and with 20 paylines that gives much more respectable figures of 50x, 100x and 500x your bet, but I'd question if anybody ever saw the full screen of "7"s as I've not even seen them land on more than two reels at once yet!
The games scatters are also very strange as they are added to the reels as they stop making it really difficult to know if your actually getting a fair shot at the elusive bonus round. You need all five scatters in order for a shot at the bonus and even then you'll need to get lucky a second time as your asked to choose one of the scatter symbols to determine how many free spins you will receive from 5 up to a maximum of 25. The game has an interesting feature of giving you a chance at gambling your free spins if you pick less than 25 but I'd stay away from this as it definitely doesn't seem like a 50/50 shot to me, in particular whenever I have five free spins I almost always seem to end up with none if I press the gamble button!
I think Action Bank might of been a decent enough slot in it's day but like so many Barcrest games it just seems old hat compared to the latest video slots being created today. It's maybe worth a play just for nostalgic reasons but apart from that there's far better games to spend your money on at every on-line casino.
