Stalled Withdrawal and Repeated KYC Checks

Our member airesvitor got in touch with our support department on 10 July, complaining about a stalled withdrawal despite having provided all of the necessary KYC documents.

According to the player, such a situation has never happened before, as he had successfully withdrawn money from HellSpin Casino multiple times. This time, however, was different, and the identity verification process was stalled.

Our support staff jumped in and requested an explanation from HellSpin, to which they replied that big wins require additional proof of identity and, also, that the process was delayed due to the player’s change of address.

HellSpin responded immediately and asked for patience on both ends, justifying the stall with their verification procedures.

A week later, however, the casino requested another extension of the deadline, which was granted. Finally, on 24 July, the KYC check was completed, and HellSpin began paying out in accordance with its own withdrawal limits.

Patience Is a Virtue

Although we strive to process and close all complaints as quickly as possible, sometimes we ask you to be patient and wait a bit before the case is resolved. This particular complaint took two weeks to resolve, but when it was finally cleared, it was to the satisfaction of all parties.

UNO Brings a Social Experience to Casinos

Even though the social club will be set up at the Palms Casino Resort, it’s not on the casino floor. Therefore, there won’t be any gambling at the moment. 

But, who’s to say that gambling won’t be a part of future events? With UNO Social Clubs scheduled to pop up across the US in different venues with tournament-style play, there are indications that monetary buy-in could be introduced at some points or some events.

The UK betting powerhouse Betfred will be the official sponsor of the World Matchplay Darts until the end of the current decade.

Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has extended their agreement with Betfred for another five years, meaning that the betting site will be sponsoring the tournament until 2030. On top of that, they announced bigger prize pools for the 2026 men’s and women’s tournaments.

The Long-Term Partnership

Darts fans are well familiar with the Betfred brand. The bookie has been the PDC partner since 2019. Three years later, the sponsorship got an extension, and the latest extension has been the longest and the potentially most lucrative one.

Prize pool for the 2026 edition of the Betfred World Matchplay will reach a massive £1 million, with the whopping £225,000 prize going to the winner of the tournament. Betfred Women’s World Matchplay prize pool is also getting a bump and will be £40,000.

Matt Porter, the PDC chief executive, commented on this continuation of the sponsorship:

Betfred have become synonymous with the World Matchplay since joining us as title sponsor in 2019, and it’s wonderful that they’ve extended that support for a further five years.

Porter commended Betfred's backing of the Betfred Women’s World Matchplay and expressed excitement about the prize pool for both tournaments getting a significant increase next year.

Highlight of the Darts Season

Many agree that the World Matchplay is the event you want to be at if you have even a passing interest in darts. 

Betfred boss Fred Done highlighted the importance of the tournament in the official statement:

“The Betfred World Matchplay is one of the highlights of the year – I love the seaside party atmosphere coupled with top quality sport. [...] The quality of the field has never been stronger, and we can only see these tournaments continuing to grow in the coming years.”

This year’s edition of the World Matchplay Darts had attracted the attention of darts fans well before it started, following an excellent 2024 edition. In fact, the tickets for the tournament sold out in record time, surprising even the organisers.
