Simsalabim Slot NetEnt

Simsalabim is a 25-payline video slot operating on the NetEnt software platform. Featuring various magician’s tricks and props, the game’s scatter is the Magic Box, while the wild card is the character of the Magician. Players are invited to test the slot on this page free of charge or pick any of the NetEnt casinos found in the listings to play the game for real money.

Before performing their own magic tricks, players should regulate their wager. The “Lines” selector manages the number of paylines played and “Level” alters the bet level. Pressing the “Coin Value” selector modifies the coin size, which ranges from 0.01 to 1. Clicking “Spin” starts the game, while “Max Bet” turns the reels at the highest available wager. “Autoplay” will spin the reels for a preset number of times without any interruptions.

When 3 or more scatters spin into the view, Free Spins will be awarded. 3 scatters lead to 10 Free Spins, 4 scatters will trigger 20 Free Spins and 5 scatter symbols will result in 30 Free Spins. During the Free Spin round all wins are tripled. Additional Free Spins can be won and they will automatically be added to the current number of Free Spins.

3 or more Bonus Bunny symbols will trigger the Bonus game. In the Bonus game, players choose between the magician’s hats and once they select a hat, if there is a rabbit hidden inside, a bonus amount will be awarded. Players can choose hats until they reach an empty hat, which is when the Bonus round will be terminated. The sum of all bonus amounts uncovered will be won. The more players bet in the regular game, the higher the wins in the Bonus round.

When 5 wild cards appear on an enabled payline, a jackpot of 7,500 coins will be won.

This game reminds me of another similar game - Rabbit In The Hat. Both has a magician as the main character in the game, so probably both games were released at about the same time. My first ever play on Simsalabim was about 2 years ago, but I didn't like it that much, so I have not played it again ever since, until very recently, when I wanted to refresh my memory on the game.

Simsalabim does not play like Rabbit In The Hat game, which plays more like the Eggomatic game. The Magician is the Wild symbol, paying a very nice 7500x the line bet for getting 5 of him, but that's about all of it - it doesn't double wins with it and it doesn't expand on the reels either. The Box is the Scatter symbol, paying a nice 200x the total bet for getting 5 of them, and awards 10, 20 or 30 free spins with a 3x multiplier when getting 3, 4 or 5 Scatters. The good thing is that the Free Spins game can be retriggered. The bad thing is that the Free Spins game is damn blardy hard to get! The Bonus games would come like 20 or more times before 1 Free Spins game would come. This is very disappointing indeed, because all those Bonus games simply pay peanuts, so I would very much prefer getting the Free Spins game instead.

The Rabbit is the Bonus symbol, a non-paying symbol, and getting 3 or more of them consecutively on any payline awards the Bonus game. Pick the Hats one by one to win cash prizes - getting a puff of smoke from the Hat ends the Bonus game. Well, this pick-and-win game has never been a hit with me, and these sort of feature games can hardly ever pay big. The Bonus games that I have played mostly paid wins of under 5x my bet amount! Worse still, none of the games paid anything more than 10x either, so these bonus games were a real disappointment for me!

A Free Spins game has always been my preference over any Bonus game, but sadly though, getting 3 Scatters in Simsalabim would only award 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier. I have never gotten any 4 or 5 Scatters before, and it has always been 3 Scatters and 10 free spins for me, but that's not the worse part of it. The worst part is in waiting for a Free Spins game to come! I must have played at least 15 Bonus games before 1 Free Spins game finally came, after more than 600 spins, but what did that Free Spins game finally paid me? An unbelievable 2x my bet amount! Sheesh! That got me so furious, literally, and I have not played Simsalabim ever since!

Simsalabim was launched by NetEnt back in January 2012. This is one of the slots which I found it's name pretty strange. It's a 5-reels, 25-paylines game, and playable from 0.25 cents bet per spin . On my very first session, I mostly had dead spins, with two scatter and bonus symbols appearing quite often but not making any significant winning combinations. After maybe seventy spins or so, I finally triggered 3 bonus symbols of the sweet cat, and I jumped into its Bonus game. In this game, I got the chance to pick between maybe 15 hats or so. I picked 5 hats, won 600 coins, but on my 6th attempt, I picked the unfortunate hat that has no prize. The Bonus game ended and I was back into the base game. I am wondering if this game comes with any multi-level bonus games, which would have been awesome.

Frankly speaking, Simsalabim is a fun and thrilling game to play. If you have never watched a magic show in a circus before, then this game looks like one of those shows. I can't recall whether I've watched it before or not, but it doesn't matter. This game has magic and magicians for it's theme, which is very inspiring. The symbols are magician's black hats, rabbits, doves, and playing cards. Besides a Bonus game, Simsalabim also feature a Free Spins game, which is activated by getting 3 or more Scatter symbols. All wins in this Free Spins game are tripled, and more free spins can be retriggered, which means you could really have lots of fun playing this game. You can retrigger between 10 to 30 free spins.

The most valuable symbol is the Wild symbol, 5 Wilds paying 7500 coins, which is the maximum you can win. Getting 5 Magician's Hats would pay you a win of 1000 coins. Well, the overall paytable may seem quite poor, but no doubt you can still make some money playing this game. Not winning big like in Dead Or Alive, but it can certainly boost your balance up. I didn't get any bombastic win on this game so far, because I've only played it once, but Simsalabim is one game I would play again in the future.

Simsalabim is a game from Netent software that I found out about recently. Being a fan of Netent, I am interested not only in their new games, but in older games too. The name for this game seemed really confusing, I couldn't figure about the theme it has, until I played it. I really like magician theme and if done right, it can be really exciting. I like the design Netent has come up with, the bunnies look happy and although there are many colorful symbols, game looks tasteful.

Technically this game reminds me of Bloodsuckers and other games Netent have, because it has 5 reels and 25 paylines and bonus is triggered when 3 or more bonus symbols land in succession from leftmost to right. After spending some time with this game I didn't really fall for it because somehow it seemed like an average slot. First of all, it has a pick me bonus, where you pick hats and they hold coin winnings, for me this bonus seems really easy to trigger, but at the same time it hasn't been much of a help. Although a couple of times it held 5€, 6€ or even bigger winnings, all I have ended up with was winnings up to 10x bet, not even once I have received more.

Secondly there are free spins, triggered by 3 or more scatters, but this feature is quite regular, as there are 10 free spins with 3x multiplier, no special symbol or re-spins. But most importantly I don't think this game has big winning potential, my guess is only if you get more than 3 scatters, because then you get more free spins, but neither I have seen any winning screenshots from other players or have experienced that myself. Within those few sessions I have played this game, all I had were mediocre winnings, from free spins my best result has been 50x bet, while on base game I couldn't even get higher wins than 15x bet.

Overall I think this is an average slot, it won't be a game I play often and it's definitely one of my least favorite Netent games. Design is decent, but the payouts from bonus are low, the paytable itself isn't generous and somehow I just have a feeling there is something missing in this game for me.
