Simsalabim is a 25-payline video slot operating on the NetEnt software platform. Featuring various magician’s tricks and props, the game’s scatter is the Magic Box, while the wild card is the character of the Magician. Players are invited to test the slot on this page free of charge or pick any of the NetEnt casinos found in the listings to play the game for real money.
Before performing their own magic tricks, players should regulate their wager. The “Lines” selector manages the number of paylines played and “Level” alters the bet level. Pressing the “Coin Value” selector modifies the coin size, which ranges from 0.01 to 1. Clicking “Spin” starts the game, while “Max Bet” turns the reels at the highest available wager. “Autoplay” will spin the reels for a preset number of times without any interruptions.
When 3 or more scatters spin into the view, Free Spins will be awarded. 3 scatters lead to 10 Free Spins, 4 scatters will trigger 20 Free Spins and 5 scatter symbols will result in 30 Free Spins. During the Free Spin round all wins are tripled. Additional Free Spins can be won and they will automatically be added to the current number of Free Spins.
3 or more Bonus Bunny symbols will trigger the Bonus game. In the Bonus game, players choose between the magician’s hats and once they select a hat, if there is a rabbit hidden inside, a bonus amount will be awarded. Players can choose hats until they reach an empty hat, which is when the Bonus round will be terminated. The sum of all bonus amounts uncovered will be won. The more players bet in the regular game, the higher the wins in the Bonus round.
When 5 wild cards appear on an enabled payline, a jackpot of 7,500 coins will be won.

This game reminds me of another similar game - Rabbit In The Hat. Both has a magician as the main character in the game, so probably both games were released at about the same time. My first ever play on Simsalabim was about 2 years ago, but I didn't like it that much, so I have not played it again ever since, until very recently, when I wanted to refresh my memory on the game.
Simsalabim does not play like Rabbit In The Hat game, which plays more like the Eggomatic game. The Magician is the Wild symbol, paying a very nice 7500x the line bet for getting 5 of him, but that's about all of it - it doesn't double wins with it and it doesn't expand on the reels either. The Box is the Scatter symbol, paying a nice 200x the total bet for getting 5 of them, and awards 10, 20 or 30 free spins with a 3x multiplier when getting 3, 4 or 5 Scatters. The good thing is that the Free Spins game can be retriggered. The bad thing is that the Free Spins game is damn blardy hard to get! The Bonus games would come like 20 or more times before 1 Free Spins game would come. This is very disappointing indeed, because all those Bonus games simply pay peanuts, so I would very much prefer getting the Free Spins game instead.
The Rabbit is the Bonus symbol, a non-paying symbol, and getting 3 or more of them consecutively on any payline awards the Bonus game. Pick the Hats one by one to win cash prizes - getting a puff of smoke from the Hat ends the Bonus game. Well, this pick-and-win game has never been a hit with me, and these sort of feature games can hardly ever pay big. The Bonus games that I have played mostly paid wins of under 5x my bet amount! Worse still, none of the games paid anything more than 10x either, so these bonus games were a real disappointment for me!
A Free Spins game has always been my preference over any Bonus game, but sadly though, getting 3 Scatters in Simsalabim would only award 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier. I have never gotten any 4 or 5 Scatters before, and it has always been 3 Scatters and 10 free spins for me, but that's not the worse part of it. The worst part is in waiting for a Free Spins game to come! I must have played at least 15 Bonus games before 1 Free Spins game finally came, after more than 600 spins, but what did that Free Spins game finally paid me? An unbelievable 2x my bet amount! Sheesh! That got me so furious, literally, and I have not played Simsalabim ever since!
