Fire Opals is a video slot game from IGT that I simply adore. I have played this game only once but I had an extraordinary session. I remember that I won 112 euros on the very first spin when I played this slot. I know it sounds funny but I do remember the exact sum and the exact symbols that I got. I had 5 pink flowers, then the second reel was completely wild and I also had one wild symbol on the fourth reel too. When I saw 132 euros on my balance I felt great. I did not know what was going to happen later but at least I know that I will have a stress free session.

Fire Opals is a 5 reels and 720 ways to win video slot game. This game has a hexagonal structure and there are a couple of games from the same provider that are made this way. The thing that I like with these games is that they pay both from left to right and from right to left.

The free spins round is activated with the bonus symbols but they need to be on all 5 reels. There are 10 free spins initially but you can get up to 260. The highest number of free spins that I got was 30 and the highest amount that I won 300 euros.

The only thing that I do not like with this game is that it is high variance, so that means that it is possible to lose your money very fast. I choose to play this game only when I have more money on my balance; otherwise I know it will be a waste of time.

This is one of the 720 lines game with a weird design. Instead of having a rectangular shape where you can fit 3 or 4 spaces on each reel, this game has a design of 3, 4, 5, 4, 3 spaces on each reel. Now you might call me old fashioned but I really don't like this design. Instead of feeling that I'm getting more spaces on the 2,3 and 4 reels, I actually feel like I'm loosing spaces on the 1, 2 , 4 and 5 reels.

There are decent pays in this game and a free spins feature. The game is full of wild and can pay big no doubt about it. The pays also go both ways, which means a lot in a game like this. The Fire Orals are the biggest pay and give 40x your total bet. I never managed to get five of them but I did get four many times.
There are also scatters in this game and they only pay. I got 4 scatters when I just started playing this game and they paid 20 x, one more and i would have got 100 x my bet.

As usual the only way to make real money is through the feature and in this game you have to get a red circle on each reel. As if it is not difficult enough to get three of them, they want you to get five. In my view this makes this game bad, it is too difficult to get five of them and that's the truth. When you want to open this game first thing you think about is that you need five red circles for the feature, well I do anyways.
But if you do get lucky and soon or later you have to, you will be awarded with 10 free spins, with lower pays. You can re-trigger the feature but I never could and my best win was €40.

The game looks weird and in a way too difficult to get the feature. My rating 6 out of 10.
