Novibet Casino has once again proven it is a strong supporter of GambleAware as it stepped up its efforts to make gambling safer via a hefty £20,000 donation.
Safer Gambling Empowerment
Novibet, an international online gaming operator registered and regulated by the UKGC, recently donated more than £20,000 to GambleAware, with the goal of taking another step forward in empowering behaviors toward safer gambling in the United Kingdom, one of the brand's primary countries of operation.
Novibet prioritizes providing a secure online entertainment environment for all members, making responsible gambling a cornerstone of its operations.
As a result, Novibet supports the most well-established industry organizations in emphasizing the importance of players' conscious decision-making and making preventative and treatment services more accessible.
Nikos Katsaros, Legal & Compliance Director, pointed out that Novibet adopts the highest standards of integrity and responsibility in all areas of business. “Our internationally recognised platform offers ideal entertainment conditions, but also ensures that our members receive timely information and engage in practices that protect them from the negative effects of problematic gambling”, said Katsaros.
As Novibet has pointed out, by sponsoring GambleAware, they go one step further in addressing the common concern of keeping people safe from gambling dangers, thereby reinforcing they brand promise of "gaming responsibly" and delivering something "exciting while remaining safe."
A Spot-on Donation
Novibet donation comes at a great time, seeing as the NGTS run by GambleAware has just been extended.
GambleAware is implementing a three-year pilot project to expand the National Gambling Treatment Service's (NGTS) residential rehabilitation program for people with gambling addictions.
Individuals will now be able to run these rehabilitation programs at their own pace, with input from both family and friends, as a result of their recent award process. The programs will include medically managed detoxification and acute mental health support. The project is GambleAware's most recent attempt to address issues surrounding gambling-related harms.
Anna Hargrave, the chief commissioning officer at GambleAware, said: “We are pleased to have awarded this grant to these two highly experienced organisations and see it as an important step towards increasing the capacity and effectiveness of the National Gambling Treatment Service to ensure many more people get the help and support they need.”
NGTS provides free and confidential advice as well as emotional support by phone, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If some players do not feel comfortable speaking to NGTS agents on the phone, they can use their live chat service. Their representatives are professionally trained to listen to anyone who is affected.
