In its efforts to reduce revenue from harmful gambling to zero, Kindred has taken another step and is now offering Gamban to its customers in France. Before it could offer Gamban's website and app, the operator also funded the development and localisation to make it accessible to French players.
Reducing Harmful Gambling to Zero
The alliance with the gambling blocking software company is intended to serve as another step in reducing the revenue from harmful gambling to zero and also sees Kindred become the first operator to offer Gamban to players who use its gambling platform in France.
"We are very excited to be assisting Kindred on their journey to derive zero percent revenue from harmful gambling," said Stephen Aupy, VP of Partnerships at Gamban.
"Kindred's voluntary commitment to offer Gamban for free in France means accessible blocking software can further protect those harmed by gambling from unlicensed operators outside the scope of regulation," Aupy added.
As Gamban hasn't been previously available in French, Kindred decided to fund the development and localisation of the software to make it widely accessible. With Gamban in place, French gamblers can now block over 60,000 online gambling sites, including rogue operators.
"At Kindred, we want gambling to remain a fun source of entertainment," noted Mathieu Drida, General Manager France at Kindred Group.
"As an online gambling operator, we take our responsibility towards our players very seriously and want to provide them with the most effective support tools on the market," Drida underlined.
