Gambless Launch Their ‘Play it Safe’ Educational Campaign in Land-Based Casinos and Betting Shops

Gambless, a gambling harm prevention and support app, have launched a ‘Play it Safe’ educational campaign amid post-post-pandemic reopenings. The campaign will see flyers distributed across casinos and betting shops internationally.

Gambless Debut Their Play it Safe Campaign

As countries worldwide start to recover from the global Covid-19 crisis, Gambless aims to step in to help with the demand for player protection resources. Their ‘Play it Safe’ flyers include a PGSI self-assessment test and anyone deemed at risk of gambling-related harm and a free code to access psycho-educational resources through the Gambless app.

Gambless will distribute flyers to casinos and betting shops which include a self-assessment for those deemed at risk of problem gambling.

In particular, their entire initiative will be aimed towards players who gamble at land-based casinos and betting shops.

“As we slowly get back to normal, we are seeing more gambling operators reaching out to us, interested in learning how they can keep their players protected”, said Maurizio Savino, CEO at Gambless.

Commenting, Savino added, “These days we hear the words ‘reopening safely’ very often; for gambling venues ‘safely’ has a double meaning – both from a sanitarian standpoint and with regards to responsible gambling. It’s important we all remind ourselves which habits are healthy and which ones can become harmful.”

A Focus on Player Protection

The campaign results from many gambling venues starting to reopen their doors again after months of disruption caused by the pandemic. Gambless has picked up the demand for player protection resources that have come directly from land-based operators like the Hippodrome Casino in the UK and LoginBet betting shops in Italy.

Savino later said, “We encourage all operators to be proactive and distribute informative materials to customers as they return to populate their outlets. We are aware that land-based establishments are coming from a tough year, thus we are offering our resources freely, without asking for any contribution from operators.”

“Same goes for gamblers, who can access our psycho-educational resources for free until the end of 2021. This is particularly important, as this is a time when several major sport summer events return after the pandemic, like the Euro 2020 Cup and the Tokyo Olympics.”
