eCOGRA, one of iGaming's most reliable independent testing agencies, announced that it had been granted authorization to start checking online casinos in Pennsylvania.
eCOGRA Is Coming to Pennsylvania
The authorisation was approved by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), acknowledging eCOGRA's suitability as a Private Testing and Certification Facility (PTCF).
Pennsylvania marks the second US jurisdiction to allow eCOGRA to conduct testing of online casinos after the company obtained a licence for Colorado earlier this year. Also, the agency is the first laboratory headquartered outside the US to be granted permission to conduct checks.
Commenting on the authorisation, eCOGRA Chief Technical Officer Bradley Khoury, described the development as "the end product of close liaison and hard work by his professional staff and the licensing authority."
Meanwhile, eCOGRA's CEO, Shaun McCallaghan, added that the recognition by the PGCB is "integral to the expansion plans of eCOGRA in the US, and this achievement is a significant step forward.
"We express our gratitude to the PGCB, and our loyal and competent staff," McCallaghan noted.
