Zoom Slot Thunderkick

Zoom is a fruit-themed 64-payline video slot operating on the Thunderkick software platform. The game has 6 reels and features traditional, yet modernized cherry symbols, stars, bells and sevens, while the slot’s wild card is represented with the word ‘Wild’ and the Zoom symbol is the game’s scatter. Players are welcome to try the game for free right here on this page or choose any of the Thunderkick casinos found in our listings to play the slot for real money.

To enter the world of vibrantly coloured grapes, lemons and other fruit, players should select their bet first. The bet amount is chosen by pressing the ‘Coin’ button. The coin size ranges from 0.1 to 100. To start the game, players need to push the ‘Spin’ button. The ‘Auto Play’ button is located between the two aforementioned buttons and it turns reels for a number of times which can be selected on the Auto Play page.

What separates this slot from various other fruit-themed games is the Massive symbol feature. The Zoom scatter can expand and turn into a Massive symbol covering the entire Zoom area, which triggers a re-spin. The re-spin then generates new symbols on all reels.

The reel set is divided into 6 Zoom parts, while each of the areas features 2x2 symbols. If the Zoom scatter is found in 4 Zoom areas forming a square, a Super Massive symbol will emerge. This Super Massive symbol also triggers a re-spin.

I've never had a great deal of luck with six reel slots - WMS "Raging Rhino" has been brutally mean to me the past couple of years, delivering enough dead spins to freak out even the most hardened gambler. That game has 4096 pay ways, where as Thunderkick's "Zoom" has just 64 paylines spanning its identically sized 6x4 playfield so I was expecting a similarly dry experience here. It doesn't feel quite as harsh though in all honesty, it does at least deliver quite a few smaller wins even if the six of a kinds are extremely rare and sseem to pay very poorly when they do show up.

I enjoy these kind of retro themed games with a modern twist in general and this is a particularly pretty game, though that can be said about the overwhelming majority of slots released these days. There's no doubt Thunderkick know what they are doing in the graphics department, and the sound is okay if unremarkable.

With the symbols appearing on the reels in stacks its fair to assume a full screen of any one symbol should be a possibility, although I've yet to see anything close to that so far. The top six of a kind symbol combination returns just 12.5x your stake, so you definitely need to win on at least a few lines at once in order to grab a decent win. The expanding "Zoom" symbols really aren't enough to make up for the absence of a bonus round or free spins for me and I found myself getting quite bored very quickly.

About those Zoom symbols, the paytable shows a diagram of four of them appearing in adjacent sectors of the playfield, but I'm a little bit suspicious about this - despite playing at least a thousand spins or so on the game I have *never* seen two of the zoom symbols stacked on the reels which would be necessary in order to achieve the combination shown. I think the screenshot may possibly be in error as it would be possible to achieve the four adjacent zoom blocks as long as they were each on a different reel or via the respin that is awarded after one or more zoom blocks first appears, but the screenshot definitely shows stacked zoom symbols which seems a little bit strange.

Whatever the case, those zoom blocks are real hard to hit - I've gone 100 spins only seeing them once or twice several times so I'm guessing theres only one per reel and the reel strips are VERY long. As these are the only kind of bonus or feature in the game, I can't imagine I will be the only player to tire of this game quickly. It's a shame because I like the idea of the zoom symbols and with a better paytable and some free spins this could have been a nice game.

Zoom could be a great fruity themed video slot game if the payouts would be a little bit better. This game is powered by Thunderkick software and it has 64 pay lines. Quite unusual numbers of paylines again at this game by Thunderkick, but I like design of their games.

I tried this one just a couple of days ago and I had one good win from it. This game has Zoom symbol which is scatter symbols that expands into a massive symbol and triggers a respin. Here the reel set is divided into 6 zoom areas, each zoom area is 2x2 symbols in size. If the zoom symbol is present in four zoom areas forming a square, a super massive symbol will emerge.

I think this could provide really good winnings. But to get all those 4 zoom symbols respins is hard. I never got more than 3 zoom symbols and my best winnings here, at this game was around x100 bet. I had two big wild symbols on zoom area and some other symbol in the end on the reels. It paid me quite good, I did not expected win over x100 bet.

Otherwise this game is designed great, I like to play it sometimes. But I do not like so much the payouts during base game. I rarely got winnings which were higher than my bet amount.

I think Thunderkick made a good game here, but I miss some better payouts during base game. Well anyway this game is not so boring for me; since zoom symbols appears quite often and you get some respins with bigger symbols. I will rate it with 8 out of 10 possible stars here at AskGamblers. Maybe I will play it again. I think this game can provide some big winnings but you will need to get a super massive symbol on the reels; well well… before that you have to collect zoom symbols in four zoom areas that forming a square. Not so easy, right!?

When I realised that this new 6-reels 4-rows game was from Thunderkick, I was kind of excited a little bit, because it's been a real long time since I last enjoyed a good Thunderkick game. Fruit Warp, Barber's Shop, and Birds On A Wire have seen their share of my plays, and I was waiting for something new to come about. Then, voila! The Rift came, then Zoom came, and a few other new ones too, but we'll come to that when it's time for that.

Thunderkick's Zoom has a new but a strange game play pattern. The entire play area has been grouped into 6 grids or boxes, so the normal paylines as we know it doesn't fit in at all. All the 64 paylines are totally different from any other, so playing Zoom may need some getting used to it. Better still, just play the game without thinking about what paylines or which paylines the wins are coming from. Just focus on how much the wins are, then the game will be less confusing. This new game is all about that new comer, the Zorro. Err, I mean, the 'Z'. Whenever the 'Z' appears, then prepare for some action, just as whenever Zorro would appear, hehehe. One 'Z' appearing in any of the 6 grids would transform that grid into a Massive symbol of 2x2 positions, for one respin, for a maximum of 6 Massive symbols in any one respin. Each new 'Z' appearing in the respin awards another respin, until no new 'Z' appears. If 'Z' appears in 4 grids simultaneously, then a Super Massive Symbol of 4x4 positions will be created. So getting a huge all-of-a-kind win is indeed possible here!

Having said all that, let's look at the paytable next. The 'Z' symbol doesn't pay anything for itself, it is just a triggering symbol. The Wild symbol pays 12.5x the total bet for 6 of them, the Star 12.5x, the '7' 7x, the Bell 5x, the Grapes 4x, the Watermelon 3.5x, the Lemon 3x and the Cherries 2.5x. The minimum starting bet per spin is still $0.10, as to Thunderkick's standards, which is damn good for a 64-paylines game. Overall, it is a very low paytable, not really justifying the 64-paylines for its 6-reels 4-rows play area, so nice big wins may be really hard to come by.

My first 3 plays on Zoom were totally beyond my wildest expectations! Perhaps it was just my bad luck on a very bad day, I really don't know, but I just couldn't get any decent win from the game at all. Zoom ate my deposits like it hasn't eaten for months. $20 plus bonus money, then another $20, then yet another $20. Then I totally gave up. I have never come across any of Thunderkick's game that ate like Zoom did, and that irritated and angered me tremendously. It was not like anything I would have expected from a Thunderkick game. Zoom was a total disaster for me right from the very beginning, and I don't think I'll ever come to grips with this game. Nosirree!
