The Neon colors on background with polished graphics in combination with soundtrack deliver some Vegas vibes. The Lowest-paying symbols are the playing cards, giving a maximum of 3.7x your bet with 5 Spades. The Magician can appear on reels 2/3/4. Other symbols that you will see: Magician’s Hat/White Dove/Tiger/Female Magician. The Female assistant, is the Expanding Wild symbol which rewards 150x your bet for 5 Of a Kind. The Scatter symbol is a ‘Diamond Dollar’. If you hit 5 of this symbol, you’ll get a reward of 500x bet.
In overall, a decent Medium Variance slot, with potential of up to 3000x your bet.

There are times when a simple game can be more enjoyable to play than games that offer several features that are rather difficult to get. This Vegas Magic game from Pragmatic Play is one of them. It’s a simple game, playing with the usual 20 paylines, but with a minimum starting bet of 0.40, which is non-standard, which some may not quite like, and offers only two features – tumbling of symbols and expanding Wilds. Sadly though, the game doesn’t offer any free spins, and the Scatter symbols merely serving as the highest paying symbol at 500x the bet amount for any 5 of them.

The Magician is the Wild symbol in the game, a non-paying and non-doubling Wild, but expands into a full Wild Reel in any winning combination. Appearing only on reels 2, 3 and 4, only 3 possible Wild Reels can therefore be achieved, but is sufficient enough to produce some decent wins when coupled with the win multipliers. The multiplier itself starts at 2x, increases by 1x with each consecutive tumble, but there is no limit as to how many consecutive tumbles can occur. Nonetheless, it’s never possible to go increasing endlessly without reaching a certain end-point.

The Lady, the magician’s assistance, is the highest paying regular symbol, at 150x the bet amount for any 5 of her, which is a fairly good win value, but all the other symbols have very low values instead. What this means is that good wins can only be achieved by getting this Lady symbols, whilst the others would not. It is worth noting that the Wild symbol can only expand on the first tumble, when in a winning combination – any other non-winning Wild symbol in that spin would not expand in the next tumble, even if they consequently make a new winning combination. Only new Wild symbols appearing in the next tumble would expand. So you may get 3 Wild symbols appearing in a spin, but only the Wild in a win would expand, which does make a big difference indeed!

Anyhow, I gave this Vegas Magic game several plays, but found it rather disappointing at first. The good wins only came later on, and finally getting a decent 211x win, whilst all the other payouts were on the low side. That win was with 3 full Wild Reels, but with only one Lady symbol on reel 1, thereby missing out on a much bigger win if the Lady symbol had landed on reel 5! Ah well, that’s how any game would go – you win some, you lose some, hehehe.
