The original Twin Spin game from NetEnt has been a big favourite with so many players. Why? Simply because it has a good paytable, it could pay big wins at the right times, and it plays well and interestingly most of the time. They'd be several dead moments in the game of course, but which game doesn't, right? Hmm, well, that's not quite true after all, as it turned out to be - not with this new sequel, Twin Spin Deluxe. A deluxe version it may be, but everything else about the game doesn't reflect its 'deluxe' aspirations. Instead, as far as I am concerned, it fails miserably when compared to the original game!

The linked reels remains the same, but the payout mechanism is now using the 'cluster pays' method, ala Aloha Cluster Pays and Shangri-La Cluster Pays, both of which aren't to my liking at all! They appeared interesting at first, but after a few thousand spins on each of the games, their true colours became apparent - they are nothing more than poor paying games! Even before playing this Twin Spin Deluxe game, I could already sense it's potentials, or lack of it, to be more precise.

From the standard 5-reels 3-rows format, this sequel now plays with 6 reels and 5 rows, a format that I don't like nor appreciate at all. All the symbols become smaller in size, and having 30 symbols all at the same time in a tight play area makes everything looks cluttered. No doubt there are lots of players who loves this grid-type of games, but I am not one of them, and I don't think I would ever be one of them either!

Imagine getting 30 all-same symbols, yet the payout would be well below 100x the total bet amount! Getting 30 'Q' symbols, for example, would only pay a lousy 50x the total bet! What a ridiculous payout! What about getting 30 Diamonds symbols? Yes, that would pay a nice 50x total bet win per winning payline, but you'd better forget about getting it! I haven't even seen all 15 Diamond symbols in Twin Spin, so I wouldn't expect it to happen in this deluxe version either! If it does happen, it would only occur once in the game's lifetime - guaranteed!

The Cluster Pays feature is nice. The graphics on this new version are mutch better than on his little brother.

Twin Spin Deluxe is the remake of the original and most famous slot of Netent – Twin Spin.
The previous version is 243 ways where the newer version is more of a cluster pays. I used to hate the original twin spin but as time went on I started loving it. The new Twin Spin Deluxe is just awful. I hate it and I do not think I want to start beginning to like it all.

It has a similar pay table like Emoji Planet, where 30 of the highest paying symbol(diamond) pays x1000 your bet. The slot comes in a 6x5 grid and it pays in cluster ways. Which means you need to have minimum 9 symbols on the reels linked to each other to create a win. This combination can occur on the right side of left side of the reels or in the middle of the reels.

The game has the reel clone feature, where you can clone all 6 reels to display the same symbol in order to create a big win, as the more of the same symbols you have clustered up, the bigger the win. This cloning feature is about all the slot has that is interesting as the pay table is ridiculous.

I played the slot the other day and manage to get the cloning feature and 5 reels were cloned giving me Q's on all 5 reels clustered. Did you know that "Almost" full screen which was x25 clustered symbols paid me a mere x50 my bet. I was very disappointed in this and exited the game immediately.

I really think Netent messed it up on this slot and it kind of giving the old twin spin slot a bad name of image. I will not return to play it anymore. They should just remove the slot just like they just removed South Park and Aliens silently.
