Netent’s ‘Swipe And Roll’ is a 5 reel slot with 20 Paylines, that includes some traditional elements of the vintage fruit machines of the 60s, with more modern features. The graphics and sounds are on average level combined with a nostalgic touch. The slot has also a variety of Bonus features, with simple gameplay and mid potential, which will attract those players who like old fashioned games.

Swipe And Roll is yet one more variant of the old fruit machine game but with a new touch and feel. It has three special features that the old fruit game doesn’t have, namely a randomly activated Coin Wheel Spin, a randomly activated Wild Respin (whenever 3 or more Wild symbols land on the reels), and a Bonus game (whenever 3 Bell Scatters land anywhere on the reels), which replaces the usual free spins feature game. Personally, I would prefer the free spins instead, but not all players would share the same tastes and preferences.

Let’s look at the three special features first. In the Coin Wheel feature, you get one spin on the Wheel to win a value – simple as that. In the Wild Respin feature, all the Wild symbols stick on the reels and the other symbols take a spin. Whatever new wins are created are then paid and the feature ends. Not much of a Respin round, if I may say, unlike the usual Respins whereby each new activating symbol landing on the reels would award one more respin, until no new same symbol lands. In this Wild Respin feature, you only get one chance and that’s it!

The Bonus game, replacing the free spins feature, gets a spin on a 3-reels Wheel, plus getting 3 additional nudges next, to get more wins. The good point is that each nudge would give a new win, either a coin value, or an Arrow symbol that points up or down, thereby winning the coin value above or below that Arrow. A Double Arrow symbol would win both the above and below coin values. This Bonus game is actually a 4-guaranteed-win-spins feature, but with mediocre wins at best, because the coin values on the reels are not that big in the first place. Either you like it or not, but it certainly isn’t an interesting bonus game!

Having tried out this Swipe And Roll g ame a few times, I can only say that I didn’t like the game, the payouts aren’t enticing or encouraging enough, and the good wins are not big wins at all. Nothing in this game to make me come back for more, simple as that!
