Star Trek Red Alert Slot WMS

Star Trek Red Alert is a 25-payline video slot which runs on the WMS (Williams Interactive) software platform. Done in the style of the original Star Trek series, the game possesses a wild card in the form of the Star Trek Logo and the feature symbol is the scatter which is an icon consisting of the word “Feature”. Players are invited to try the slot on this page free of charge or select any of the featured WMS (Williams Interactive) casinos to play the game for real money.

In order to join the original crew of USS Enterprise on their journey through space, one needs to first select their preferred wager. Pressing the “Bet/Line” +/- buttons adjusts the coin value, ranging from 0.01 to 3. “Spin” initiates the game, while the “Autoplay” buttons allows players to spin the reels multiple times without being interrupted.

3 or more scatters activate the Red Alert Feature, which awards players 1 Medal. The Feature awards an unlimited number of spins. Every winning spin multiplies the win by x2 up to x15. The Feature begins with 5 shields. Each spin not resulting in a winning combination removes 1 shield.

When there are no more shields left, players choose between 2 communication channels. If "Spin Till You Win" is revealed, the reels spin until there is a winning combination. If "Shields to Full" is revealed, the shields are recharged back to 100% and the Feature continues. If "No Extra Spin" is revealed, the Feature is over. During any spin, 3 or more Shields reset the shields back to 5. A Medal is won every time the x15 multiplier is reached.

The Win Warp bet is an additional wager of 10 times one’s bet per line amount and it can occur at the end of a winning spin that does not activate a Feature winning combination. The win warp awards one of 4 random features.

In the Rock Creature Multiplying Wild feature, the Rock Creature appears and adds a multiplying wild onto a random position on 1 of the reels. The multiplier ranges from x3 to x10.

In Scotty's Wild Reel feature, Scotty appears and fills 1 or 2 reels entirely with Scotty wild cards.

During the Spock Multiplier feature, Spock appears and multiplies the win from x3 to x10.

In the Enterprise Fly-By feature, the Enterprise flies by and the symbols in winning combinations turn into 1 of the following symbols: Kirk, Spock, McCoy, wild card, Feature or Insignia.

Star Trek Red Alert is a 25 payline 5 reel slot coming from Williams Interactive. This slot was made by the original Star Trek movie with James T. Kirk and the USS Enterprise. I really liked those movies and I have watched every sequel there was so I can say I’m a big fan of Star Trek. When I first saw these slots in WMS Casinos I just had to try them.

The minimum bet to play this game is 35 cents because 10 cents go to the feature. The slot has a descent paytable and in the symbols you can find all the characters from the movie. This slot can be called progressive because as you play you earn medals and unlock new features. The game has a few interesting features like the Win Warp where Spock can award multipliers up to 10 x, the Rock creature also awards multipliers or you can get same symbols. All of these features make this game interesting to play. If you are lucky to get 3 Feature symbols you are taken to a battle where you have to fight the Romulan Fleet. Here you can take 5 hits and for very win you shoot down an enemy ship which awards a multiplier to the win from x2 up to the biggest x 15. You can also refill your shields and get a second chance in the fight. The biggest wins in this bonus game can come if you take down all of the ships leaving you only the main ship which awards wins with 15 x multiplier. In this bonus game I had wins well over 200 x bet sometimes and sometimes only 50 x bet.

Overall this is a very interesting slot to play and if you are a Star Trek fan you will surely love this slot. You can have some great wins in the bonus game and even greater as you earn medals and advance through the game. Still to experience the full pleasure in the game you need a big bankroll to unlock all of the stages. Live long and Prosper.

Star Trek Red Alert is a somewhat complicated game from casino software provider WMS (Williams Interactive). I’m not into science-fiction at all nor the Star Trek movies or series, so I’m not sure what has gotten into to me to choose to play this game. I guess I was under the impression that licensed slots with big Hollywood titles are higher in quality.

Well, history has proven that is not always necessarily the case. The game used to be offered at Unibet and Jackpot Party a while back, not sure if they still have it in their gaming selection. Star Trek Red Alert offers 5-reels, 3-rows and 25-paylines. As such you’d expect the minimum bet to be 25 cents, but they actually make you bet a bit higher.

The minimum bet is 35 cents because 10 cents is reserved for the feature. I found that odd but proceeded anyway with the minimum bet. The symbols of this game reflect the series well. Although I think they could have done better job. It all looks very ‘old school’ but maybe that was their intention.

On top of the reels there is some sort of progress bar. Basically you can only enjoy one part of this game until you’ve unlocked the next part Explore the New Worlds. You have to collect 50 medals to do this. Needless to say, I never sticked around that long, since Star Trek simply isn’t my thing. Just wanted to see if I could catch some good wins.

Base game wins didn’t really mount to anything for me despite some random Warp feature showing up awarding multipliers and what not. That Warp thing did come in handy for me though since it can change symbols to other symbols. One time it changed 3 symbols for the feature symbol, which meant I managed to get to the free spins called Red Alert.

In the free spins you have to get wins in order to be able to shoot down a spaceship. Those spaceships carry multipliers. But if you don’t get wins, you will get attached and lose a shield. I only managed a few wins that led to 40x bet altogether.

My overall impression was positive despite not continuing to discover the rest of this slot. It just got to be your thing I guess, and Star Trek isn’t something I’m generally interested in.

The game doesn't make it possible to discover all features right away. You have to earn medals first which forces you to play on. Gameplay is somewhat complicated for beginners. Takes some time to adapt to the whole concept.

Scotty beam me up! This is a well knows phrase from captain Kirk and everybody knows it.
Unfortunately I am not a fan of old Star Trek movies but I do love the remake of these movies.
Enough about the movies, now here's my review about the video slots.

Star Trek video slot has 3 parts: Red Alert, Explore new worlds and The trouble with Tribbles.
And get this, you can't play the second and third parts before you play the first part.
At red alert you have to earn medals to unlock the next part and sofort.

The medals can be earned by triggering the free spins mode, each free spin that triggered you earn 1 medal (minimum) and more medals can be earned if you hit the enemy mothership ( 1 medal per 1 hit on mothership).

Star Trek Red Alert does not pay big with normal spins, the big cash can only hit at the free spins.
You need to be patience if you want to unlock the other parts.
I am now at part 2 of this game and this part is not really exciting because the payout of the bonus round is not really great. To be honest the first part is the best till now.

The game has 25 paylines but you must pay 10 cent extra for the feature bonus round that will be triggered randomly and they do come very often so I find it worth the money.

To be honest I have spent more than 300 euro and 6 hours playing this game just for unlocking the next part ( Explore new worlds). Now I notice that part 2 was not as good as part 1 I stop playing this game.
The highest payout I ever won with this game was 70 euro with the lowest stake per spin and it was from the free spins mode but I did get more than 20 medals extra during this free spin mode.

Well I recommend this game if you are a fan of old Star Trek but please note that win big is really hard with this game.
