Ellen Fortune is another newish release from Evoplay Entertainment. Having played it and all, this game seems to like the one that is supposed to have high variance. The base game plays medium to high, as free spins take forever to trigger, however, free spins are like High Variance mode. With all that said, it's disappointing to win up to 1000x your total stake, for a slot with sticky wilds during feature during free spins.

Based on some magical type of theme, set in the backdrop of an open field with magical surroundings, you will find royals on the reels. Higher symbols include coins pot acting as wild, dice, a smoking pipe, and a horseshoe. You have a 4 x 5 grid set to create winning combinations, but this slot has very weird pay lines. The highest symbol will pay you 25x your total stake including the wild symbol.

There is a coin that lands on reels 2 and 4 called a sticky coin and a lucky coin that lands on reel 3 in the base game. Lucky coin randomly appears on the reels, and this generates the unicorn feature. The unicorn spins and selects a direction and creates 3 wilds in that direction for extra wins.

Landing Free spins scatters on reels 1, 3, and 5 triggers the free spins feature. You are awarded 7 free spins and any lucky coin that generates wilds make them sticky during free spins. Thus, you have sticky wilds for guaranteed wins.

When you start with 7 spins it is not a lot, and who says you will land wilds on the reels early enough? You cannot retrigger free spins and this makes this game very bad, apart from the base game hardly dishing out wins. This slot can be a balanced eater at times. The first 2 scatters come very easily but landing the 3rd scatter is very hard.

I am not a fan, but at times use it as a balance builder when taking chances.
