These multi reels and multi rows games have become the trend of recent games by all game providers. They come in a multitude of variety, with various features, with differing winning possibilities, but all share more or less the extremely low win values for their game symbols. In short, new games do not offer huge winning potentials like their counterparts of yesteryears, but they do offer new interesting gaming experiences nonetheless.

My first impression of its paytable wasn't good at all, what with its extremely low win values for all the symbols, plus its non-paying Wild and Scatter symbols, making its winning potentials even less attractive. To counteract that, symbols can become duplicated and become stacked, which can produce some good wins with the game's 4096 ways to win. Other than that, only good luck can make things any happier! So, if you want to win big in Dragon Champions, then you need to bring with you a champion's luck, so to speak, hehehe.

I've never been a fan of 6-reels 4-rows games, so I hardly play much of them, except for trying them out, as in this case. It was my first ever play on the game, I was getting pretty bored with it, my balance was draining down all the way, and I was just about to quit playing it, when out of nowhere, like an angel was watching over me, a good win suddenly came on my very last spin! 2 of the Blue Dragonfire symbols came, they expanded into several Dragonfire symbols, creating 12 symbols altogether, and paying a nice 360x total bet win! Needless to say, all the other wins before this were simply very low and disappointing - mostly paying below 30x my bet amount.

What I also don't quite like is the Free Spins game, triggered by getting 3 or more non-paying Scatter symbols - you win absolutely nothing at all, except for 8 free spins, but without any win multiplier either! Sheesh! In retrospect, old Playtech games are well known for their 15 free spins with 3x multiplier, so 8 free spins with 0x multiplier was a real turn-off! The norm would have been with a 5x multiplier, but recent trends have changed all that, making wins of 500x or more a rarity nowadays.

Sorry, as interesting as this Dragon Champions game may play, or pay, it is just not my kind of game! The very low payouts bore me very quickly, the free spins are very disappointing without any win multiplier, so in all probability, I won't be playing it ever again!

The base game has a randomly activated Dragon fire feature where any symbol that lands with blue Dragon fire can randomly catch on fire and expand in 4 directions which leads to better combinations, more pay ways and big wins.

This feature also applies in the Dragon Champions Free Games feature which is played when you get 3 or more Free Games scatters anywhere across the reels. Seems like the dragon fire feature is more active during free spins. 3 scatters will reward you with 8 free spins whilst 4 gives you 15 free spins. If you get 5, you will play with 25 free spins but if you get 6, you will receive a cool 100 free spins, which you know is hard to get I guess.

I use this slot to complete a wager requirement at Omni slots, and I guess this slot was in the mood to play, however I do not think its fully wager material etc. I could never win over x100 on the feature, but the feature triggered often and got wins between x50 – x80 my stake.
