This Astro Babes game is probably the only one in Playtech’s directory of games that has a minimum starting bet of $1.00, which I think is ridiculous to start with! Even though it plays with 100 paylines, which is still much less than 243 paylines, it certainly doesn’t have to start with a dollar bet per spin, when other 243 paylines games start with only $0.30 or less. Most probably Astro Babes is a game by some other proprietary developer, but that doesn’t change my perception of the game.

The game utilises a 5-reels 8-rows format, which isn’t to my liking, and offers only free spins as its feature game, with no other features available. This is rather outdated, to say the very least! On top of that, the win values of all the symbols are extremely low, except for the 50x total bet for getting 5 Wilds, and there is absolutely no win multipliers anywhere as well – argh! The only way to get any decent wins would be to get as many same symbols on the reels as possible (all symbols are stacked on all reels).

Getting 3 Scatter symbols would pay nothing (yeah, nothing!), but awards 12 featureless free spins (without any win multipliers). A retrigger during the free spins would not repeat the feature, but would award a Hyperspace Delivery Bonus game instead. What or how this Hyperspace game would play or pay I have no clue at all, simply because I couldn’t get any of it from the few free spins games that I got.

Anyway, I gave this game only one try simply because I cannot afford playing for long on $1.00 bets per spin, but honestly speaking, my one and only play session didn’t go well, but it didn’t go terribly bad either. Out of the few free spins games that I managed to get, my best win was a lousy 58x my staked amount. However, when trying this game out in fun mode later on, I managed to get better payouts, the best being a 375x win. Perhaps I should give Astro Babes more chances to get better wins? Nah, no thanks, not at $1.00 bet per spin! There are no interesting features in the game either, so I definitely would not go back to it!
