Daytona Gold is a game I played only a few times. I never had much luck with race car slots so I can't say that I am a big fan of them. The game has a simple design and reminds me of some old Playstation race game. The graphic isn’t very good and the background music reminds me of car engines before some big car race. Off course Daytona is one of the biggest races in the States so I guess this game is very popular to US players.

This is a 15 payline 5 reel slot but it does offer a few bonus features which can produce some nice wins. There are 3 main symbols in the game, wild, scatter and bonus symbol. The wild is standard like in all slots and substitutes all other symbols except the scatter and bonus symbol. You can get a few of them on a winning payline which can produce a nice win. My biggest win during base play was around 230 euros when I had 3 wilds on a winning payline and a nice 5 of a kind win on my 1.50 euros bet. I think that was beginners luck to be honest and I haven't won anything even close to that since then. The scatters if they land on the first and last reel award free spins but there isn't a multiplier involved so the wins aren't very big. The second bonus which is called speedway bonus is triggered when you get 3 or more bonus racers an active payline. They appear only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and can be a little hard to get. This is a standard Top Game multi stage cash bonus. You have to pick your engine, tires, paint and fuel to build your race car and hope that you will win the race.

Overall this is a fun slot to play which can produce some nice wins.

First thing to do is to chose one engine for your racing car and you will be awarded, I chose V8 engine and received 80 coins on my min.bet of 0.15, then I picked orange tires and got 200 coins and finally painting and I chose orange splash painting. I was lucky at the gas pump, I chose premium to fuel my car for this race and I saw 300 coins earned. I see that there are 50 chances to win and get to the end, because there was a game over sign in this final step. Speed way race track / final stage , winner is rewarded by speedway bonus. Unfortunately, I came in last, and didn’t win this race, but for this bonus game I can say that it reminds me of F1 race, and I love to watch racing. 2 scatters started 10 free spins for me but I won 0.57 from these free spins which is really low, no racer luck for me. I’m sure Daytona Gold is one of the best TopGame’s product in the ‘less than 20 lines’ category at least in visualization aspect. Evidently, a car racing slot has several sport cars and auto parts as symbols which have very great look thanks to very charming graphics. Strange, but I really can’t emphasize any elements of the interface, design that I would consider as excellent, however the entire screen impresses me a lot which I think a big praise for the creators that they could find the right and proper visual components and combined them into an attractive spectacle.

First we have to select the best engine out of 5 options then the proper tire but in this stage there is a wrong pick that could end the side game, then have to decide what colour the car has to wear but two paint tints would make it very ugly if they’re picked so need to avoid them, later a suitable fuel has to be chosen what can provide the best performance and the final stage we have to try out the new creation on the race track. All stages reveal its bonus credit prizes if the right components were selected and the sum of the credits is multiplied by the line bet. Sadly, I don’t find this extra to be too generous but it really could be an awesome feature if it paid well.

All in all, it’s a very well designed and assembled slot but I think it lack a little bit of high end qualities. I like to play here mainly because I appreciate the organic game segments and the nice environment. Not too many modifications (a little bit more giver features come to mind at first) would require making this game a really entertaining and comprehensive great game but the real excitement somehow I miss here and sadly that leaves the mark on the overall gaming experience.
