It's probably been more than 10 years since I last played this Bee Land game from Pragmatic, formerly known as Top Game. At that time, I quite enjoyed playing the game, getting some good wins from it, and also getting losses from it too, but that's only to be expected. The Honey-maker machine is the Scatter symbol, it doesn't pay anything for itself, but randomly multiplies the total winnings from the Free Spins game by 3x up to 10x. Getting 3 or more Scatter symbols award 12 free spins with that random multiplier at the end of the game. Not done in the usual manner, but who cares, as long as there's a multiplier for the free spins. The Flower is the Bonus symbol, it doesn't pay anything for itself too, but getting 3 or more of these Flowers award the Honey Queen Bonus game. The Beehive pays 1000x, the Clock pays 500x, the Lamp pays 400x, the Traffic Lights pay 300x, and all the other bees pay from 200x to 100x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind, making it an average paytable but on the lower side.

The Honey Queen Bonus game has 3 levels. Firstly, pick 1 flower to win points, secondly, pick one honey-making machine to win more points, but getting a 'Game Over' ends the game, and thirdly, pick one beehive to earn the Queen's kiss and reward to win many more points, plus get a random multiplier at the end of the game to boost up further the total winnings. Honestly speaking, I feel that this bonus game can pay better than the Free Spins game, but I cannot be too sure because I haven't played enough of Bee Land to date. My former wins all came from this bonus game but I cannot recall how big they were.

Bee Land can be a very enjoyable game to play, but it can also drain away the credits pretty fast, with lots of non-paying or low-paying spins in the base game. Once the Free Spins or the Bonus game has been achieved, then things could begin to pick up from there. I like the Bonus game better because of its better winning potentials on average. The Free Spins game can pay very lowly, under 10x the total bet amount, and yet very seldomly exceeds 50x the total bet amount. Maybe individual luck plays an important role in this Bee Land game. The unlucky ones may end up losing most of the time.

After opening this game to play it immediately becomes very obvious that the main strength of the slot is the very cute appearance. We don’t have to disappoint in a product that has ‘bee’ word in the name and we can see very sweet little bugs and colorful flowers. Fortunately the many bee symbols the game uses got such funny and humorous illustration that makes the game more pleasing and the entire screen looks like a children’s book. For example there are rock star, policeman, painter, house wife bees and with very great graphics they’re really lovely and very attractive. So overall it’s a very correctly done pictorial work and I suppose every player would love it.

At this 20-payline slot the Crown symbol fills up the role of Wild and has own paying ability and it’s the best we can see from any symbols which is worth 5000 coins in the case of a 5 of a kind win. I miss that this symbol can’t multiply the wins and I have a little issue with its appearing frequency on the reels. I think this win helping icon should pop up on the reels more often and be more cooperative with other figures.

The Free Spin feature could be a real good side game and its qualities really looks great on paper but while playing it it’s very rare that something becomes to reality. There were times when I could come out from this extra that my total win amount wasn’t even reached the initial bet and needless to say that was a big disappointment but any usual session here is more of closer this very questionable attribute than to being at least average rewarding. Anyway, the qualities I’m speaking about is 3 or more triggering symbols during normal game give 12 free games and depending on the number of activating icons the win multiplier value can be x3, x5 or even great sounding x10.

Wild Flower figures starts the Honey Queen bonus round which is a multi-level extra session where first we have to select a flower where our bee must collect as much pollen's as it can then a pick is required among honey maker machine and we hope we selected that one that can get bring out the most of the pollen's then at final stage we have to sold it for queen bee and in lucky situation she will be satisfied with our work and besides the kiss we claim we’re also rewarded in big way. This is really a funny and very beautiful slot game what we could sympathize with until the final won amount is determined. I think the most I could collect here wasn’t more than €14 for my € 1 bet so I can’t consider it as a real open-handed bonus game.

Anyway, my biggest issue with a charming interface that most of the times I don’t see the potential in it to be able to give out great prizes and however cute it looks like eventually it’s a gambling product that besides to be entertaining must have work as a slot which must offer the possibility for the players to win money and I believe a real good game should have the ability to convince me that it can give out nice awards whatever theme is built around or however it looks like.

I’m sadly saying Bee Land is more of a very cute game than to be a great video slot. It really has fascinating appearance which I would really like to play with if somehow money wasn’t involved in this whole story but to be honest I never felt it would be a reliable partner in money wise standpoint which fact really influences my playing experience here. Of course because of its entertaining ability and pleasurable atmosphere it simple can’t wear a bad game label but also can’t be a good game because of the mentioned reasons. I always pop in just for few spin and only because of the great mood it creates but if I wish real great overall playing session I just move on and search for other games.
