Hockey Shootout by Evoplay — Overview
If you love instant games but don’t like small incremental multiplier increases, lace up your skates and take some shots on the ice with the Hockey Shootout game from Evoplay.
Pick your team, set your stake, and take a shot—that’s it! Your payout increases with each goal and resets when you miss, and you can collect at any time.
You’ll see several different goalie graphics, and your shot can hit any part of the net or the goalie.
There are no side bets or bonus rounds—the gameplay focuses entirely on the shootout mechanic. If your shot is saved, the win multiplier resets, your opponent changes, and you go again. If you make it to the end, you’ll collect the max win multiplier and start all over again.
You can mix things up by choosing a different team on the start-up screen, but it has no bearing on the outcome and only changes the name on the scoreboard.
The simplicity makes this game a good fit for beginners, as you don’t need to wade through help files to learn how to play Hockey Shootout.
The clean layout and tap-to-shoot mechanics work great on mobile, and Hockey Shootout supports most iOS and Android devices. As it’s a provably fair game, you can also copy the “Hash” at any time and paste it into a hash generator to confirm fairness.
RTP and Limits
Every goal you score in this simulated hockey game increases the win multiplier. Unlike the many arcade games that increase multipliers in fractions, Hockey Shootout doubles your win multiplier with the first goal and gives you the 32x maximum on the fifth goal.
However you choose to play Hockey Shootout online, the RTP is always 96%. Whether your strategy is to collect early or late, the casino retains a 4% edge. The developer doesn’t list a volatility rating.
You can wager as little as €1 per shot, and there’s a maximum wager of €75, leading to a win cap of €2,400 with the highest wager and the maximum 32x win multiplier.
