Wu Long Slot Playtech

Wu Long is a video slot with 5 reels and 25 pay-lines powered by Playtech software provider. This slot is inspired with the Oriental culture and the festivities going on there. The reels are purple and they are set against the sky filled with fireworks. Give this slot a free spin here on this page or visit Playtech Casinos to play for real money.

Before you start the celebration, you are advised to set your bets. By clicking on "Line Bet" you will control coins size which ranges from 0.01 to 100. "Bet Max" is used to set the maximum bet allowed.

The highest paying symbol in the game is the temple and if you land 5 of them on an active pay-line, you will win as high as 2500 credits.

I was wondering what ‘Wu Long’ refers to, so I looked it up and found a few meanings to the term – a type of slimming tea, a Chinese festival, and a County in China – so the most logical reference here is the festival, which then explains the type of symbols used in this game from Playtech.

Wu Long plays with 25 paylines and with a starting bet of 0.25 per spin, which is more or less a standard format. But unlike most other standard games from Playtech, Wu Long has a rather low paytable, meaning, all the symbols simply cannot pay good nice wins if won without any multipliers! And so we have multipliers of 1x, 2x, 4x and 6x, but only during the free spins play – base game play doesn’t have any multipliers at all, and so that’s an “argh!” from me!

The Dragon is the Wild and the Scatter symbol at the same time, but pays only 50x the total bet for getting any 5 of them, but I’ve already told you that nothing in this game could pay big, right? Only the top symbol would pay 100x, but everything else would pay from 20x downwards. The base game play itself can only be described as disappointing, until you get 3 Dragon symbols, and 12 free spins would be awarded. This again is yet one more disappointment for me, because Playtech games usually start with 15 free spins, and with a 3x multiplier - in Wu Long, it starts with a basic 1x multiplier, argh!

With any winning combination with a Dragon symbol, the multiplier increases to the next level, from 1x to 2x, then to 4x, then to 6x. After the 6x multiplier, there aren’t any more increment, but with each non-winning spin, the multiplier goes back one step, and it usually goes back down to 1x! Argh! Needless to say, most of the wins from the free spins turned out to be very disheartening indeed, and from several free spins games that I had managed to get, the best win it gave me was a miserable 79x, and that was with 1 Retrigger game too! Although the increasing multipliers can actually be good at the right times, that I can say is damn hard to come by, so don’t count too much on getting many wins on that 6x multiplier! Wu Long is not a good game to play!

Wu Long is a video slot with 5 reels and 25 pay lines. It is powered by Playtech software provider. I think this game has Asian theme. Well to be honest I do not like this kind of themed games so much, the only reason is because I never won any big money on them.

I tried Wu Long a couple of months ago. This game has only one feature which is free spins feature. When you get three or more dragon scattered symbols on the reels you trigger the free games. You get 12 free games. Dragon symbols can trigger 2 events during free games: growing multiplier and retriggering free games. Free spins begin with x1 multiplier and you can get up to x6 multiplier.

While I was playing, I triggered this feature twice. First time I won around x20 bet, and second time around x50 bet. I like the feature here, since the scatter symbols during free games gives you additional free spins. Beside that they also raised multipliers which is pretty cool. The main game is good, but nothing special. I never won more than x10 bet from it, it is very hard to get any bigger winnings over x10 bet, I think.

Well I played this game only once, for about half an hour. I had some winnings on it, but I do not think I will play it more often in the future. I like to play Playtech software games sometimes, but this one is not my favorite game from Playtech. I think there are many better games from this software provider, with better features and payouts. Because of that, I will rate Wu Long with 5 out of 10 possible stars.

The game should have at least one bonus game or one more feature. It is 25 payline video slot and I expected more from it.

Exploring a little portfolio offered by Playtech casinos I discovered "Wu Long" slot, an Asian themed game that as I could observe it has a good level of popularity and even on some sites it is highly rated, and as I am a curious man I wanted to check on my own what were players talking about.

For a start, this is one of those slots where the wild symbol acts also as scatter simultaneously, and honestly I appreciate this because I think this way I will not have any scatter around standing in the way of my lines all the time; 3 or more scatter-wild symbols, with the image of dragon, trigger a round of 12 free spins, a round that is quite interesting and generous because of another couple of special features associated with it, the first one is about each scatter-wild that appears during these games makes our multiplier rise one step in the scale 1x - 2x - 4x - 6x; this regardless of whether or not this wild participates in the formation of any combination; when no dragon symbol appears then our multiplier goes down one step on that scale. The second feature linked to this round is that if they appear 2, 3, 4 or 5 dragons simultaneously, then 2, 4, 8 or 12 spins will be added to our round of free games; for all these I think this round is excellent and gives us a real chance to get a big win. Today during my first session I starting increasing my bet levels in a rather aggressive way to my usual style of playing, but my first free round came soon enough as to get ahead by $ 30, from then on I started to increase my bet levels cautiously, it took me longer to get my second round so I was under my initial balance, but when I finally could trigger my free round again, I managed to overcome my initial balance and got $ 100 over my starting point, after that I never was in negative anymore and even I ended with a profit of $ 200.

It is true that free round may take a long time, but I think it is worth to be patient and wait for it until it happens, furthermore I feel that cash flow is not so bad during the base game and that helps us a lot to keep some calm. Ultimately I think "Wu Long" met expectations since it resulted being an exciting, fast, funny and even profitable game if luck is on our side.
