Bet-at-home did it again and sent me a €5 voucher for my b-day this year, too. As I usually do with freebees I used it on a slot that I’m not familiar with or never played before and my choice this time felt onto Lucky 8 Line, a 3-reel, 8-payline machine. I’d lie if I say I did it without any reservation because my overall opinion about NetEnt’s classic game park is very bad and never thought how is it possible that a developer that created lot of top-notch multi-line games simply can’t make a great traditional slot.

Unfortunately, my fear was proved true again as I got a not too attractive interface and it can’t be said it would have been a unique appearance as almost every NetEnt mini slot uses this pictorial scheme. The graphics are terrible and it really looks like if it was a video game from the ‘80’s and I play with ugly fruits, 7’s and bars figures. Well, this machine not just didn’t impress me at all but instead I would have run away from it but I was lazy enough to not search for a new game.

My little playing session started in this mood and this was not how the player wanted to start a fresh partnership but I set my stake at minimum at €0.80 (€0.10 per line) and thought it was going to a miracle spending here more than 5 spins or minutes. But to my surprise on my third spin almost whole table covered by Bells except one position that was enough for 6 winning lines out of 8 and it paid me back €11 giving more time to test the machine. If that last position also showed a Bell it would have been a €170 win as the game has a special payout system.

This payout method otherwise is quite good as the game works with 2 paytables. One is a ‘normal’ paytable and shows the multiplier value for a standard 3 of a kind win and that number is used calculating with total line bet. The other is Paytable Specials which shows what if all 9 spots of the reels contain identical symbols, but this time the assigned multiplier number valid for total stake. At this game 3 or 9 Red 7 pictogram can pay the most and reward player with 200 times of line bet or 1000 times of total bet which is the Jackpot of the game. This latter is very great quality.
The slot doesn’t offer any feature or use extra function symbol like Wild so this product is from the simplest one in the business.

Maybe my time with Lucky 8 Line was extended a little bit but it didn’t cause too much happiness for me. Somehow the whole game is not good and for me it’s absolutely not entertaining. I think its payout is not bad and can imagine lot of players can appreciate that but because I just can’t enjoy playing this slot I think the spins for €5 was enough for a lifetime and honestly can’t see too much chance to return to this machine again.
