I also think this could do good for the symbols too to be more powerful and express their visual effects. I see the original idea in the built in decorative motives like the Corinthian columns around the reel area or the broken amphora as control button to make the game more authentic but I can’t help it they just seem to me some kind of pictorial clichés instead of actually increasing the overall pictorial impression and they’re also not too high quality illustrations. All in all, I’m not saying this would be a bad interface for this slot and in fact this is a very ordinary visual work but in my opinion this theme would have given the opportunity for the game to be very attractive and dazzle me with awesome visual elements but the slot simple failed to complete this mission.
I think this 20-payline slot promptly lost its possibility to gain the ‘very great product’ label when the first time I read the next sentence on the paytable, below the Bonus description ‘…bonus round to win HIGH prizes up to x90 your entire stake…’ (The first thought came across my mind ‘How could I post a winner screenshot in AskGamblers' forum if I’m simple not allowed to win at least x100 of stake) but seriously this obvious lack of having potential can not be a quality of a real good game. Anyway, this kind of poor rewarding ability characterizes the whole game and the best line win is worth only 700 times of bet meaning playing the game with €1 total stake, the maximum I can pocket in such situation is only €35 and this is unacceptable. The Wild symbol also can’t help me out as it is there only for substitute for other symbols but not there to multiply wins while the free spin feature triggering Thundering Zeus, Scatter must be on active payline (though it can form a 5 of a kind win awarding 750 coins).
This results a very rarely triggering bonus and sometimes it seems that I have to wait for eternity until I get a chance to go there but when it finally happens 10 free spins are awarded where all wins are multiplied by x2. I think I can safely say this is the most profitable segment of the game as I could have managed once to finish the side game with €35 or €40 profit. I seriously thought about - when I witnessed a double digit total win at the end of the bonus – that I must have celebrated it as a Jackpot win because that how rarely it happens.
Bonus round is triggered by three Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels and then we’re shown another screen where are 5 vessel containing golden coins. I can’t understand this side game as we have to pick from vessels but every time we must pick all of them one after the other so no ‘wrong pick’ which could end the side game. Anyway, there are times when all 5 vessels reveal prizes and there are occasions when just one and the collected bonus credits are multiplied by the used coin value at the end of the bonus. The most I could collect here were €20, when I was playing with €1 bet and in that situations every item gives back 80 bonus credits. I can’t say this is an interesting game and I tend to consider it ‘stupid’ as I don’t see too much advantage in creating such kind of bonus game. It’d be much simpler to credit balance with randomly chosen amount right after the three triggering symbol appeared on the reel because the player doesn’t enjoy the picking process certainly.
Unfortunately, considering all the things I’ve experienced here I can say this is not a competitive, good video slot. The appearance of the game arises questions about the quality level while all other segment especially the paying ability just increase the number of question marks. I really can’t understand how 1 X 2Gaming could release a slot game with conditions like these where the player really can’t find any features, qualities what can be satisfied with. I think they should re-examine all important game sectors and make the necessary and required corrections to transform the game at least a playable one. Until this process is not done Gods of Olympus causes more headaches to its customers than enjoyable moment and we even have to pay for this? Thanks, but I don’t think so.
