If you are a player of those that like slots based on epic stories and you are willing to fight and endure suffering in search of honor and glory, then it is possible that “Gladiator of Rome” is a game that fits your needs. Its theme was inspired by the courage and bravery of ancient Roman gladiators always ready to give the best of them to win another day of life; its design is pretty basic, but still, the set of images, colors, and fonts used on it make it a very attractive game.

This slot has been manufactured by the company “1x2Gaming” under the traditional structure of 5 x 3 reels and provided with 20 paylines. To increase or decrease our bet is a fairly simple process that can be done by choosing between 1 to 5 coins with values of $0.01, $0.02, $0.05, $0.10 and $0.25 the player can set in a separate box made for this purpose.

Prices specified on the paytable do not seem particularly strong, but “1x2Gaming” has added two very interesting weapons to this game to encourage players; the first is a quite active wild symbol, which appears with excellent frequency and it is not unusual to see two or three of these symbols aligned on the same active payline.

The second weapon is a round of 30 free spins triggered by 3 scatters that only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4; in addition, during these spins they don’t appear the symbols “Q” or “K,” which incidentally they are two of lower priced symbols of the game; a factor that certainly is a real advantage for the player. Additionally, this round is enriched with a multiplier that is incremented by 1x every 10 turns, starting in 1x and ending in 3x.

What I have concluded is that this game is too dependent on activation of free games mainly because the winnings made during the base game are usually modest, and I remember well that at first, during my first 200 or 300 turns, for me it was particularly difficult to get my first free round, and this had a strong impact on my balance, however, after rising my bet level at least 6 times, I managed to access my first round and quickly I could also get another two, with which, I could finally recover losses and also get some profits.

In any slot, the time of the emergence of a round of free spins is unpredictable and so I think that I have not a solid reason to complain about the difficulty to get my first 30 free spins in “Gladiator of Rome” since I feel that this slot behaved quite well in the end; I just think in this game you have to have a bit of patience until it comes the moment when it decides to expose its generosity through activation of some free round.
