Breaking the Numbers Down

The report before you concerns the period from 1 April to 30 June 2025, covering all versions of the AskGamblers website, including the new section of sports betting complaints (launched in March of this year).

Sport Betting Complaints on the Rise

The number of complaints filed against sportsbooks has grown exponentially in the second quarter. This is no wonder, given that the sports betting complaints were launched in March. However, judging from the second quarter figures, we are in for a dramatic growth in the months ahead:

  • Recovered money ~ $88,953.19
  • Received complaints - 503
  • AGCCS users - 405
  • Affected sportsbooks - 96

We started modestly, with only two complaints and $568 returned in March, only to receive over 500 submissions, totalling nearly $90,000, over the course of the next three months.

In total, we received 4,430 complaints, processed 1,593 of them, and successfully resolved 1,005 submissions from 3,182 AskGamblers users.

Revisit Some of the Biggest Complaints in the Second Quarter

In case you missed it, we had some pretty hefty complaints in our files this past quarter.

Hands down the biggest was an April complaint from a German player who turned to us for mediation and managed to recover no less than €515,400 from 22bet Casino.

Although this one was hard to beat, you can rest assured we approach them all, no matter how big or small, with the same care and attention.
