Phone support

Some online casinos will provide their players with telephone support. However, this is probably one of the less popular and less used method of customer support for many different reasons. Ideally, speaking to someone over the phone is great as you get to speak to a real live person and can freely discuss your problems and questions. However, in reality there are many different factors that sometimes make phone support at an online casino very difficult and the last method of customer support you may turn to.

Phone support

Customer support over the telephone is likely to only be open for certain hours of the day. So, if you are planning on using this method of customer support, you will need to check the hours they are open. The downfall of this is that there may be a time difference depending on where you live in the world, so you will need to make sure that you work out the times according to where you live. In some cases you may find that you have to wait until early hours of the morning to be able to use telephone support and actually get through to speak to someone.

Now, everyone knows that international calls can be extremely expensive for your telephone bill. Or, if you have never made an international call, then you must know before using this method of support that the call may incur you quite hefty call charges. Whilst some telephone providers may offer international call bundles, the chances are you are not going to have this. Before making any international calls to your casino of choice, it is vital that you check the call charges before you call. If you do not, you may have quite a shock when your phone bill comes through. However, it is important to point out that some casinos will have telephone numbers that are not international numbers. For example, if you live in the United Kingdom, the casino may have a number that is a UK number and, likewise, if you live in France, then the number will be according to French telephone numbers. However, chances are that the country you live in will not be listed.

Some casinos, however, offer their players a toll-free telephone number. A toll-free number basically means exactly the same as a freephone telephone number. A toll-free number is a number that is billed for all arriving calls, as opposed to the originating telephone subscriber (you) paying for the call. So for you, a call to a toll-free number from a landline is free of charge regardless of your call plan with your telephone provider. However, as we mentioned above, a casino is likely to only provide toll-free numbers to certain countries. So, if your country is not listed, you may not be able to call the casino for free.

If you do decide that you need to use phone support, you may find that there is a language barrier and may not be able to speak to a customer service agent in your native language. However, if you do manage to get through to someone and you do not have to pay call charges, you can take your time and explain your problem or ask your question and hopefully get a satisfactory response.

One other thing that is worth a quick mention is Skype. Some online casinos, although not many at the moment, will offer customer support via Skype, although again charges may occur which you should check before using this option.
