Win Sum Dim Sum is a Chinese Canton cuisine-themed 9-payline video slot operating on the Microgaming software platform. The game features various Dim Sum means, such as Dumplings, and has a wild symbol featuring the title of the slot and a scatter in the form of a Teapot symbol. Players can try the slot for free right here on this page or they can play the game for real money in any of the listed Microgaming casinos.
Before players dig in, they need to set their bet. Clicking on “Bet” lets players regulate their wager. “Lines” adjusts the number of paylines played, “Coins” regulates the number of coins wagered and “Coin Size” sets the coin value, ranging from 0.01 to 05. Pressing “Spin” initiates the game and “Auto Play” spins the reels for a number of times uninterrupted.
When 3 or more Teapot scatters emerge on the reels, the Free Spin round with 15 Free Spins is activated. Additional Free Spins can be re-activated during the feature.
Additionally, the wild card can expand in order to bring players additional wins. During the regular games, the wild card can expand on reel 3 and during the Free Spin round the wild card can expand on reels 2, 3 and 4.
A jackpot of 100 coins will be awarded once 5 Win Sum Dim Sum wilds emerge on the reels.

Dim sum is a style of Chinese cuisine (particularly Cantonese but also in other varieties), prepared as small bite-sized portions of food served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. At first sight I thought this game has sums of money theme, but when I checked, I found out it’s all about dishes. I also saw mostly negative comments that the slot looks ‘ugly’ and I can relate to that, because the graphics do look poor and the symbols hardly represent dim sum cuisine. Instead of having one bite or two of delicious food, you can only spin it through this video slot and possibly win delicious bites through wins here.
From my point of view, this slot is just another Microgaming disastrous try to come up with a ‘new’ game on the market. I have played it only twice and didn’t make any money nor any bigger win. This is a 5-reels 9-paylines video slot, playable from as low as 0.09 cents per spin. My average bet was 0.27 cents. My biggest win so far didn’t exceed 30x my bet size, which tells that my session was about loosing and not winning anything. I haven’t triggered even the free spins, so during the base game, scatters appeared almost during every spins, but the third one never came. Stacked Wilds too, and each win that I had came from combinations with Stacked Wilds on the third reel.
The paytable looks pretty poor, and in order to make something, you must collect 5 of a kind of the most valuable symbols, which also seems hard to trigger. It seems obvious that the only potentials would come from the Free Spins games. Additional free spins can be won but with no multiplier attached. Unlike during the base game, Wilds can expand on reel 2, 3 and 4 during the Free Spins feature, and that’s the only hope to win something, otherwise I just don’t see any other way. I liked much better So Much Sushi by Microgaming, but as far as I can remember, there isn’t much to be won there either.
