Upgradium is a slot that was released a couple of months ago and from the provider Playtech. This slot has a futuristic feel to it, symbols on the reels include a variety of 3D shapes and crystals. The red crystal W is the wild symbol and replaces all symbols to give you the best possible combination. it’s also the most lucrative with 3, 4 or 5 giving you 4, 8 or 40 times your stake respectively.

If you are a starbust or joker pro or any similar slots fan, then this slot is for you as you do not get a free spin feature, but you do get a re-spin feature. Luckily the re-spins can last up to 10 spins depending on how many orange symbols land on the reels in the hot spots.

Upgradium comes with an Upgrading Wild feature which is played when you get a winning combination involving the wild. When this happens, the symbols involved in the win will be upgraded to the next highest-paying symbol. This will basically give you enhanced wins.

The Upgrading Wild feature also applies in the Crystallization re-spin feature which is played when the orange crystal symbol lands on the hotspot in the middle of the central reel (reel 3) during the base game. You will then see the reels spin again with the symbols on the reels upgrading to the next highest-paying symbol.

New hotspots appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 with those symbols upgraded for bigger wins. If you get a wild, those symbols upgrade again. You can continue to get re-spins if orange crystal symbols appear in hotspots or until there are no hotspots left.

This is a nice basic slot from Playtech and very good for wagering purposes. I had a couple of good hits on it, but never bigger than x150 my bet, but it keeps the balance steady. Very good to boost the balance in the beginning I must add.
