A slot from Gamomat and has a mythical hero theme and happens to come with the usual Gamomat 5 reel, 3 row format and this time the player gets a choice between 10 fixed pay lines and 20 fixed pay lines. This is something I find on some Gamomat slots and I think it’s a good thing as it allows some players to stretch out their balance especially if they are on low fuel. The min bet is at only 0.10 if you play with 10 lines.

The hero theme slot does have a little feature which only gives you 7 spins which fortunately can be retriggered for additional spins. Wilds can be show up on the screen during the feature.

The top symbol is the old man paying 100x, followed by the lady that pays 75x.

Luckily for me the free spins feature did not take that long to show up and took just 76 spins to hit, and went on to pay just under 50x for a first feature on this slot. That was via 3 scatters to trigger it.

For Land of Heroes, Gamomat gave it the advanced auto play treatment which is my preferred auto play version that they slap on to the slot. Allowing me to set the number of spins to auto play and and other good settings such as stopping if the balance drops too much or goes too high. If the single win exceeds a certain amount you can have the slot stop spinning too, which is one of the better settings that all slots should have, something I should mention is missing from some top providers such as Pragmatic Play. Besides the main feature you also get the standard two gamble features of cards and gamble ladders.

You get the music during the base game as long as you keep spinning the reels and the sound effects are standard from Gamomat that make them all feel familiar.

The RTP I got to play this slot at was the max RTP of 96.17% and it was good to find this slot at the highest possible setting. The casino has some other Gamomat slots on the 94% range and you never know until you check the help files what you get like a box of chocolates.

Only 7 free spins no matter if you trigger the feature with more than 3 scatters, I don’t know why slot makers keep doing this as it doesn’t reward those lucky enough to get 4 or more scatters by giving them a head start in the feature and it should. You can’t skip the base grind with a quick bonus buy like you can with modern slots, Gamomat makes you work for it with this one like good old fashioned slots were made to be played.

The Land Of Heroes is one game that has a misleading title, because the game itself does not concern warriors or heroes. The icons involve an old man and a young lady, plus other things like a shield and a sword, but no icons of heroes whatsoever. There is a Magic Mill, however, so perhaps that old man is a magician, or something like that, but that still doesn’t make him many heroes, hahaha.

Anyway, this game plays with selectable 10 or 20 lines, with 10 cents or 20 cents starting bet, depending on the number of lines chosen, and the Old Man is the Wild symbol, paying a mere 50x win for getting 5 of him. Much too low a win value for the most important symbol in the game, I must say, but the Magic Mill Scatter symbol is no better either, paying the same 50x for any 5 of them. When I first played this game, I was thinking that the Magic Mill was perhaps a flying saucer (UFO), because it certainly looks like one, but it isn’t! Hahaha.

What that Magic Mill does is to select 1 up to 4 symbols to become the Extra Wild symbol/s for the 7 free spins play, so a maximum of 5 different Wild symbols can be had for the free spins game, but without any win multiplier in play. Honestly speaking, those 5 Wilds can produce some good wins, but without any multipliers, those wins simply cannot be big enough to satisfy the big-win hunters.

I’m not a big-win hunter, but the frequent lowish wins certainly doesn’t make the game any more interesting, even when there’s lots of Wild symbols on the reels! The win values of the symbols simply aren’t good enough to produce any big wins!

I’ve given this game many separate plays so far, each time hoping to get a better and bigger win that from what I have gotten, but with no success at all. The game has been disappointing to me in general, because the wins were never good enough, the retriggering of the free spins was a rarity, getting 3 Extra Wild symbols was the most I could get, yet the best win so far was a mere 147x my bet.

Other similar Gamomat games have given much better payouts than this game, so I wouldn’t really recommend playing it for any prolong period of time. A hit-and-run strategy would be a much better way to play this game.
