The High Life is one of the few games playing with only 5-paylines. I've never liked such games because the chances of getting wins are simply too little, when compared with 15 paylines and more, and the spins tend to be non-paying ones most of the time. Only if you're lucky you could get a quick good win, otherwise, it would be down and down all the way. To me, playing any 5 or 9 paylines games should preferably be played with a 'hit-and-run' strategy. Staying and playing, hoping for a better win, may be disastrous.

The Mansion is the Wild symbol in this game, appearing only on reels 2 and 4, and substituting for other symbols except the Scatter symbol. This dumb Wild symbol doesn't pay anything for itself, it doesn't double any wins with it, neither does it become stacked or expanded. The Car is the Scatter symbol, paying the usual 100x the total bet for 5 of them, and getting 3 or more of these Scatters trigger 10 free spins with all wins doubled. The Free Spins game can be retriggered. There isn't any other features in this game. As for the other symbols, the Boat pays 1500x, the Diamond pays 500x, the Cigars pays 250x, and the rest pay from 150x to 100x, making the paytable a low one. The only consolation for this game is that the winning combinations are for any 3 or more adjacent symbols, not for appearing consecutively on any payline. Well, the way I see it, it doesn't make that much difference anyway.

The game it self is not bad, but because the is only five lines its very hard to get a win. I usually play this game when i have little money left and i can honestly say that sometimes it pays crazy. My usual bet on this game is €0,45 and i rarely get five of a kind.

There is only one feature in this game and that is a free spins feature. To get the feature i had o get three or more cars anywhere on the reels. I am happy to say that i did get five cars once and four many times. For five cars on my usual bet it paid €45. On average i would win around €10 to €20 on this feature. the feature can be re-triggered and i have done that many times. Anytime i managed to to re-trigger it i always won decent amount of money. the pays are quite big so if you get five of a kind with a 3x it could pay very good. I don't really play this game that much these days, the main reason for that would be that it only has five lines. it is a bad buzz to get few wilds or five of a kind but not in a line.

Over ll the graphics are average and the sound effects are very average. I think this game would be more popular if it had more lines. If i was to rate this game i would give it 5 out of 10.

Within any of these 5 paylines if at least 3 symbols are on it, whether or not it's in order or scattered in disorder, it will still payout! I just use this slot only when I have less than $5 or below the point where I'm on the verge of losing everything. 5 flexible paylines can do it for me half of the time but I'd figured The High Life will probably work much more efficiently if it's 9 paylines!

Another thing I can hate is that is it very hard to win large on this slot! I have never seen all 5 combinations line up on any of the paylines. Diamond symbols are so rare in this slot. The mansion Wild frankly doesn't double or triple up wins so it's weak.
